The state of maine recently stated an online system where people can submit testimony to be brought to committee. So I thought I would check it and and see how to file. It turns out it is a bit buggy, the .org page works but not the maine.gov page that <a href="https://www.themainewire.com/2019/04/how-to-submit-testimony-via-the-legislatures-new-online-system/">the maine media recommends</a>. Turns out the information was somehow correctly given to the <a href="http://lincolncountydemocrats.com/new-method-to-submit-testimony-on-bills-and-its-easy/">democrats</a> . I did a search for changes in PFAs and harassment laws in the state in proposed legislation, and found some bill changes. A bill wanting to make a 3rd pfa violation a felony in Maine, and bills trying to get the judge to act as an adviser to petitioners in the ex parte hearings. It appears, I missed the committee dates to submit timely testimony. I'll have to double check. One of the testimonies filed was of a Maine who wrote how his ex tried to claim he violated the PFA nearly 30 times, and that he already has one strike-reportedly for mentioning her in a text to a third party. If true, and there are no unprotected categories of speech, that is a violation of the first amendment right there. He noted how he could have got a second strike is the ada [assistant district attorney] didn't find the charge as silly when he sent a pro se certified legal mailing as is required in litigation-Something Federal Judge Eleanor Ross says people don't have the right to do as she supports people being locked up 20 months without a bond and without a conviction for appealing cases originating in equity. Because the ADA was involved, I would be inclined to think some type of process happened. I am not sure if the particular town received VAWA grants, but if so they would have required his arrest. The state of Maine wants there to be an arrest if probably cause exists. Maybe he was summoned. Alternatively, the sheriff could have asked the ADA a question of law. He lives in fear of a false arrest. The Testimony isn't clear why the ADA was involved. I suppose I could contact the Lincoln county sheriff to see what's up or I could try to contact him directly. I probably won't. http://www.mainelegislature.org/legis/bills/getTestimonyDoc.asp?id=97366 According to his testimony, his PFA was extended due to poetry. Clearly not a true threat, but the judge said it was manipulative and unrestrained anger. Needless to say, the Maine democrats approved the bill in committee. It is in tiny print in the amendment version, but it is there. Dammit, democrats piss me off. Oh my goodness, as much as the left wing media hated former Governor Paul LePage, the people of Maine need him back. The dems are passing laws to confiscate guns without a court hearing, and require the public funding of abortions, and saying Maine votes don't count as their votes will go the way of the popular vote. It is quite a nightmare. Surely AOC won the state of Maine. Hopefully, this isn't a sample of what is to come nationally in 2021 if trump and the republicans can't win. The only law school in the state is operated by a black female token SJW who is hostile towards speech. Where Maine Goes so does the nation; clown world. Honk Honk Oppose Vawa, PFA laws, stalking laws, harassment laws, and be critical of breach of the peace, and disorderly conduct charges. Feminism is cancer
