Sometimes I have the luck that I can get really close to a bird of prey like this falcon here. It was sitting on a tree and waiting to hunt down to the field and catch some mice. I like falcons but still I often hope for several more colorful birds, but here in Austria you can only find few colorful birds because if a bird has a lot of color on his/her feathers thant it is often a prey for other birds and therefore has to be ver carefull. So it is either shy or very seldom. I was reasearching about birds in other countries like Costa Rica or in Africa where you can find much more colorful birds than here in the north. Hummingbirds for example, a pitty that they don't live here in Austria. A country with a lot of colorful birds is on my list for future visits.  *Falcon on a branch.
