Funny Name for a small village
Due to my job I drive a lot in Austria and get to see many different places here. Some of the Village / Town names here in Austria are really funny. One of them is "Hühnergeschrei" in Upper Austria. Translated to English this means something like "Chicken Noises". I am really curious how some of these odd village names are invented as names for small villages. But in this case I assume someone heard chicken noises at one of the farms and from then on this place got his name. 🤣
