Competitiveness
Competitiveness is effectively dividing people into sides/parties. In my opinion, the opposite should happen. Instead of turning against each other, people should align. As I said, it's very situational. Different fields of work have different reasons and benefits to compete or align. Say for example, music production. 2 artists collab and make a good song. This song would not be possible if these 2 artists were competitive and not willing to work with each other because of this characteristic. But then you can also look at it from a different perspective. For example, you own a company that creates phones, there's also another company that creates phones. If this other company is making better phones than your company and selling them for cheaper, your immediate reaction would be "oh fuck I need to up my game". In this case competitiveness motivates you to do what you do better.
I think there should be a balance
if it's balanced then I think it can be a good characteristic.
