I am convinced that what we know would fit on a postage stamp in comparison with the reality that is being hidden from us.
When I lived in Spain I shared a flat with a telly addict.
The bloody thing was on 24/7 (seriously) it helped me to learn Spanish but I noticed something very peculiar. They do not censor their news. There were so many blood and guts clips it was a culture shock to me.
They also have international news from all around the world & most of it was completely new to me - I was thinking I was well informed until then.
Spain taught me a lot.
The UK is a sink hole for reality.
In Spain I was frequently asked why are the Brits so obedient and all I could think to reply was -
