However, many studies show that animals do indeed lie. In fact, lying appears to be a sign of intelligence. Therefore, the more intelligent the animal, the more likely it is to lie.

Many animals and insects have an inborn ability to camouflage themselves in order to hide from prey. Camouflage is a form of deception. It is not in an animal's best interest to draw attention to itself. The more it blends, the longer it lives.

Deception is not only a natural instinct of all living creatures, but that it is absolutely essential to survival for some. After all, those who lie, whether they are human or otherwise, often do so for their own gain or to avoid punishment, embarrassment, or harm.

Take for example Koko the Gorilla. When her handlers confronted her after she tore a steel sink out of its mooring, she signed "cat did it" and pointed at her innocent pet kitten.

Perhaps the Koko example lends credence to the idea that lying comes with language. The more elaborate the language, the more elaborate the lying. Koko has learned to sign over 1000 words. The more words she knows, the easier it is for her to lie. Perhaps all animals have within them the tendency to deceive, but only with language is that tendency able to fully blossom.

The better a creature is at lying, bluffing, and deceiving; the more likely it is to survive in this world. Lying is all about deceiving predators and surviving - whether it is an insect changing its colors or a human lying to a boss who might fire him and take away his income and means of survival.

While studying for a course in social work I learned that the only time it is acceptable to lie to a client is if your life depends on it. Especially if the client or person you’re trying to help becomes violent or aggressive.

We humans have taken lying to whole new level when we learned to write. Could one reason that humans have evolved as much as we have be precisely this - that we are the world's best tricksters and liars? Does mastering the art of deceit mean mastering the world?

We use terms like human nature and sin to describe why we behave badly and believe that instinct does not apply to us because we are so smart. However it is not intelligence that separates humans from all the other animals, it is religion and money. A good example is the Jew. It is by no mere coincidence that the most intelligent people in world would have the best make believe story of them all just like the Christians and Muslims all religions are based on lies, believe it or not.

Think about it, there is an invisible man living in the sky and he watches everything you do. And the invisible man living in the sky has 10 rules you must follow and if you break any of these rules he will send you to a place of burning and torture where you suffer and burn in agony until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money. He’s an all-powerful, all knowing god, just not very good with money. And he always needs a little more money.

I wonder if prostitution is the most honest profession and we have been told that it is the oldest profession. Prostitution is the closest we as humans are to actually being animals or at one with nature. That’s why Jesus took special interests in prostitutes and tax collectors.

It’s true that Sex and food are universal among all animals only we humans have evolved to replace food with money. So now money not food is the only thing that keeps us from being animals. You’ll either love one or hate the other, like some religions’ teach.

That’s why religion is a lie until we learn to separate the love of Jesus Christ and admit that we are only animals without his spiritual truth. And the truth is that in the beginning there is only a man and a woman. And it is because of this spiritual union that we come back to the animal nature to satisfy the need for food to keep the individual man alive and the need for sex nature to keep the species alive.

The truth is that we as a human species have traded our natural animal instincts for the love of money and religion. And we have convinced ourselves and let the church of consumerism and the more traditional religions turn us from the love of each other to the love of money.

So if the love of money is the root of all evil wouldn’t it stand to reason that the love of each other is the root of all good? Whatever we put before our natural instincts is what we will allow to become our god.

“I am like God and God like me. I am as large as God and he as small as I. He cannot above me nor I beneath Him be”. Silesius, 17th Century
