Together with Scotland, the Welsh, and the English together make the United Kingdom. However, this small northern European country is not well known for producing great rock and roll bands. In fact, its neighbours are way ahead of it in terms of rock bands and groups. Needless to say, much of the best music ever produced comes from the countries of Great Britain. However, this fact and introduction is not minor. You see, Lostprophets was a band that at the beginning of the 21st century, around the 2000's, started to be listened to a lot all over the world. Mainly, in the golden age of emo rock, or screamo...</div></P>

<P><div class="text-justify">It wouldn't be strange at all, that maybe, some of the people who are reading this post, even have a song or two (yes, still. In the middle of 2022) in some playlist, or directly still have the original album that made them world famous "Start Something" (released in February 2004). But this story is not about Lostprophets' career as a band of various subgenres within rock and roll. On the contrary, here I want to describe what happened to the vocalist, Ian Watkins. The guy on the cover who not only had a life full of heinous and disgusting crimes, but who never showed any remorse and caused a lot of damage, more than you might think.</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Gales es un país de las islas británicas. Conocido por tener un pueblo bastante famoso: los celtas. En conjunto con Escocia, los galeses, y sumado los ingleses hacen el Reino Unido. Sin embargo, este pequeño país al norte de Europa, no es muy conocido por producir grandes bandas de rock and roll. Es más, sus vecinos, le llevan una enorme ventaja en cuanto a agrupaciones y grupos de rock. Sin decir más, que mucha de la mejor música, jamás producida, proviene de los países de Gran Bretaña. No obstante, este dato e introducción no es menor. Verán, Lostprophets, fue una banda que a principios del siglo XXI, por allá, por los 2000's, empezó a escucharse muchísimo en todo el mundo. Principalmente, en la época de oro del rock emo, o el screamo...</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">No sería para nada raro, que quizá, algunas de las personas que estén leyendo este post, incluso tengan una que otra canción (sí, aún. En pleno 2022) en alguna playlist, o directamente todavía conservan el disco original que los hizo mundialmente famoso "Start Something" (lanzado el febrero de 2004). Pero esta historia no trata de la carrera como banda de varios subgéneros dentro del rock and roll de Lostprophets. Al contrario, aquí les quiero describir qué sucedió con el vocalista, Ian Watkins. El sujeto que está en la portada y que no sólo tuvo una vida llena de crímenes atroces y asquerosos, sino que jamás mostró arrepentimiento alguno y causó muchísimo daño, más de lo que quizá pudieran creer.</div></P>

<P><div class="text-justify">In order to understand this whole research case, it is necessary to understand that since the release of the aforementioned album, Lostprophets have been giving multiple concerts all over the world. But mainly between Europe and the United States. Moreover, they played at a LiveWire Festival and also had a lot of notoriety on MTV at that time. This guy was a known hard drug user (heroin, cocaine and crack) like many others of his generation. But not content with that, he also began to develop a terrible obsession with children. And yes, you read that right. I'm not making this up, nor am I producing these lines to generate tabloid astonishment or to discredit anyone.</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Y es que para entender todo este caso de investigación, necesario es comprender que desde el lanzamiento del disco antes mencionado, Lostprophets se dedicó a dar múltiples conciertos en todo el mundo. Pero principalmente entre Europa y los Estados Unidos. Es más, tocaron en un Festival de LiveWire y también tuvieron muchísima notoriedad en la MTV por aquella época. Este sujeto, era un conocido consumidor de drogas duras (heroína, cocaína y crack) como muchos otros de su generación. Pero no complacido con ello, también empezó a desarrollar una terrible obsesión con los niños. Y sí, has leído bien. No me lo estoy inventando, ni produzco estas líneas para generar asombro amarillista o desprestigiar a nadie.</div></P>

<P><div class="text-justify">With a simple Google search, "Ian Watkins", you can see the police record, made by the Cardiff Police Department in Wales, where his booking photo appears as a convict and also the list of criminal charges attributed to him at the time. What were the charges, and therefore the crimes, based on? Be prepared, what you are about to read may offend some sensitivities. That said, the crimes Watkins was accused of ranged from raping and abusing minors, to kidnapping, corruption of minors for lewd purposes (teenagers) and rape of infants (yes, later the prosecution at trial proved that Ian Watkins abused multiple babies, with the blessing of some of the mothers who were fans of the "artist").</div></P>

<P><div class="text-justify">How did all this come to light? I mean, how did he go from absolute impunity, fame and enjoyment within the splendour of his career as a frontman and rockstar; to being a simple rapist and abuser of babies, teenagers and girls and boys all over Wales? It was all thanks to a sex worker, who at the time, used to hire Watkins to satisfy her sexual desires (when he wasn't an insane abuser). This woman's name, Joanna Majic, was not only doing sex work for Watkins at the time. But also, and always from the girl's version, that Ian was a "completely unhealthy and extremely arrogant" guy. She goes on to describe the former Lostprophet vocalist's sexual delusions, "Ian, he was always telling me about his sexual desires and fantasies and they included children, babies and twisted things like that. At first I thought he was exaggerating and that what he was saying was a product of drugs, but then I realised he wasn't lying".</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Con hacer una simple búsqueda dentro de Google, "Ian Watkins", podrás ver la ficha policial, hecha por el departamento de policía de Cardiff, en Gales, donde aparece su foto de registro como reo y además, la plantilla de imputaciones penales que se le atribuían en su momento ¿En qué se basaban las acusaciones, y por tanto los delitos? Prepárense, esto que están por leer puede herir algunas susceptibilidades. Dicho esto, los crímenes de los que era acusado Watkins iban desde violar y abusar de menores de edad, hasta secuestro, corrupción de menores con fines lascivos (adolescentes) y violación de infantes (sí, luego la Fiscalía en el juicio, demostró que Ian Watkins abusó de múltiples bebés, con el beneplácito de algunas de las madres que eran fans del "artista").</div></P>

Es decir, ¿cómo pasó de la más absoluta impunidad, fama y goce dentro del esplendor de su carrera como frontman y rockstar; a ser un simple violador y abusador de bebés, adolescentes y chicas y chicos de toda Gales? Todo fue gracias a una sexo servidora, que en aquel momento, solía contratar Watkins para satisfacer sus deseos sexuales (cuando no era un demente abusador). El nombre de esta mujer, es Joanna Majic, que no sólo cumplía una labor sexual con Watkins en ese momento. Sino, que también, y siempre desde la versión de la chica, que Ian era un tipo "completamente enfermizo y sumamente arrogante". Continúa describiendo los delirios sexuales del ex vocalista de Lostprophet, "Ian, siempre me contaba sus deseo y fantasía sexuales e incluían a niños, bebés y cosas así de retorcidas. Al principio pensé que exageraba y que lo que decía era productos de las drogas, pero luego vi que no mentía".</div></P>

One day Watkins showed Majic some of his own recorded content, showing nauseating but explicit paedophile pornography, which, unfortunately, had minors as victims. Both teenagers and young children. And that is how the end of this confessed paedophile, abuser and rapist began. And I am not exaggerating when I say "confessed". Watkins did not deny any of the charges, but ended up admitting to almost all of them. Especially those of a sexual nature and abuse of minors, teenagers, children and two babies.</div></P>

Un día Watkins le mostró a Majic, contenido grabado por él mismo donde se mostraba de un modo nauseabundo pero explícito pornografía de carácter pedófila, que infortunadamente, tenían como víctimas a menores de edad. Tanto adolescentes como niños pequeños. Y es así, como da inicio el fin de este pedófilo, abusador y violador confeso. Y no exagero cuando digo "confeso". Ya que, al ser presentado ante la audiencia preliminar con el juez, Watkins no negó ningún cargo, sino que terminó por admitirlo casi todos los cargos. Sobre todo, los de carácter sexual y de abuso hacia menores de edad, adolescentes, niños y dos bebés.</div></P>

Having posted bail and had the illegal possession of drugs charges dismissed, the police could not ask for Ian Watkins' cooperation in gaining access to the laptop. However, after lengthy trial and error to get in, the Chief Constable of Cardiff Police came up with the following password: "IFUCKKIDS", which proved to be the right one.... There they found videos, recordings, photographs and all sorts of incriminating and tell-tale material about the true being that Ian Watkins was and still is. A paedophile, abuser and rapist.</div></P>

But it was not for being a musician or for having had a band that he will be remembered, but for all the evil, the damage, the pain and the deterioration caused by a guy who had everything. Who was handsome, a millionaire and famous. But you know what they say "faces we see, hearts we don't know". In the end, this story is the story of a classic psychopath. Narcissistic, manipulative, crude, sadistic and reckless. But as is almost always the case, impunity may be a road you can stay on for a while, but your time will almost always come. And Ian Watkins has had his. His sentence was just 29 years, plus 6 years probation. He will be free, as of 2041...</div></P>

La policía, ante los rumores propuestos por Majic, y que fueron desestimados en 2008 a inicios de 2012, respectivamente, terminaron por hacerle caso a la sexo servidora e irrumpieron en el domicilio del "artista" donde encontraron desde todo tipos de drogas duras, hasta un pequeño ordenador portátil al que no podían acceder, ya que no tenían la clave de usuario. Al pagar la fianza y ser desestimados los cargos por posesión ilegal de drogas, la policía no podía pedir la cooperación de Ian Watkins para acceder a la laptop. No obstante, después de largos ensayos y errores para entrar, al Jefe de la Policía de Cardiff se le ocurrió ingresar la siguiente contraseña: "IFUCKKIDS", dando como resultado que era la adecuada... Allí encontraron vídeos, grabaciones, fotografías y todo tipo de material incriminatorio y delator del verdadero ser que era y aún es Ian Watkins. Un pedófilo, abusador y violador.</div></P>
 
><P><div class="text-justify">Quizá, alguna vez haya sido famoso y junto a su banda haya producido algún que otro buen tema que aún quede en la posteridad. Pero no fue por ser músico o por haber tenido una banda por lo que será recordado, sino por todo el mal, el daño, el dolor y el deterioro que ocasionó un sujeto que lo tenía todo. Que era apuesto, millonario y famoso. Pero ya saben lo que dicen por ahí "caras vemos, corazones no sabemos". Al final, esta historia es la historia de un psicópata clásico. Narcisista, manipulador, soez, sádico y temerario. Pero como casi siempre suele suceder, la impunidad puede que sea un camino donde puedas estar por un rato, pero casi siempre te llegará la hora. Y a Ian Watkins le ha llegado la suya. Su sentencia fue de apenas 29 años, más 6 de libertad condicional. Podrá salir libre, a partir de 2041...</div></P>
