I was loving the wide not until they updated it, honestly am still trying  to figure out what or why exactly did splinterland take such a decision. Don't know about you but to me, it just doesn't add up. 

At first i misunderstood  the whole wide pass process, i read the instruction all wrong,

With the instructions on the pass page, I thought purchasing the pass is gonna give you access to an unlimited  number of cards to use for battles during every season each time  you purchase the pass, turns out i got it all wrong.

I purchased  it eventually, apparently I had some spare  coins just wandering around my splinterland wallet, so I decided to sacrifice the coins instead of using some dec or vouchers. Me

With 2000 coins I got myself the pass and was anticipating  getting asses to use a whole lot of cards, just for me to log into battle and am still seeing my own collection of cards.

Was confused at first. I had to research about the new wide pass update and found a better explanatory  post on how it works. Turns out the whole idea was without the pass you can't really play the wide version of splinterland. How do i put this, the pass is just like a gate pass without it you can't access the wide version as simple as that. 

I haven't been playing my modern for a while because I wanted to know more about my cards. Even though i finally purchased  the wide pass and now have access to the wide version till the season is over i still cant play it

**The Cons**

A Lot of players have stopped playing the wide version because of how annoying it gets. The number of players has decreased a lot, and when you  want to play and are active there, the system just can't find a perfect match to pair you with, because the players are limited. 

Currently Most of my battles take like forever before being matched and the ones that managed to find me a player either surrender before the battle starts or just wont show up. 

I tell you with this new update it has reduced the number of wide players drastically. The worst part is them changing the reward on sps

 ## Summary 

The wide pass is to reduce a lot of bot accounts and get to see the splinters who tryna rip the system. But I think there are a lot of ways to go around this other than purchasing a wide pass. Obviously The wide pass chased a lot of people out and made that version off the chart.  Most folks don't like purchasing a 2$ dollar pass just to gain access with no other incentives attached to it, not witstanding finding a match to get in a battle with becomes difficult and time wasting. 

For me this update should be reviewed, the aim right now is to make splinterland more fun to play, more engaging and make it more adventurous.  Not the other way around. In other words, with people running away from playing the wide, it just sends out the wrong message.....
