Oh man! It is always a great time when you see friendly faces. That's what I am talking about today. While in quarantine, and being locked up and away from people, it is always nice to see some friendly faces when you do have to get out and about.


Stacie D and I had to make a run to the grocery story yesterday for some essentials, and while we were there....I saw smiling faces. It was so nice to see that people were adapting. By adapting I mean...taking the information and situation as it comes and then making the best of it. 


We have definitely encountered both extremes of this situation. On one side there are the people that just say "well, people were made to die so let nature run it's course" and on the other side there are the "everyone wear a mask and gloves inside your own house". We have even been subjected to someone physically threatening Stacie D...just because she didn't agree with their point of view.


We are at a weird place in history where social distancing is meeting social pressuring and extremism. On one side there are the people that are telling everyone that they need to get a vaccine and be tracked for the health of everyone, and on the other side are the people saying you can stick that vaccine up your B hole. 


We are getting to see the raw nature in the human animal play out right before our eyes. That is why I want to take a minute to talk about the friendly faces among the freak outs. There may be both ends of that extreme scale, but what about everyone in the middle. What about the people that are simply doing what they feel is best for themselves and their family, and not yelling or forcing their view on others. Those...man...those are some friendly faces.


It is like a ray of hope in the dark clouds. I hope that I am a friendly face for someone else while they are dealing with their own reality. More now than ever, we know that life is short.....too short to be crappy to others.
