Good morning, Hive-ians! 😊  Well, I’ve spent the week baking up a storm and working on processing the 30 plus pumpkins we had in the basement…and after a week straight of trying to get through them…I’ve still got loads to go. LOL! We’re going to have a lot of pumpkin pies, cookies, and loaves in our future. 😊  I tried my hand at piping cookies this week and as you can see, I’m going to need a lot more practice, but that’s okay, we love cookies! 😊  Using actual cookie cutters worked out much better, but my selection was quite limited, so I went online and ordered a few different sets that should let me have some nice options for future batches. 😊  I thought the hearts were really cute. 😊  We haven’t had chicken fajitas in ages, so we decided to have some this week and they cooked up so nice in the cast iron. 😊  We used our cast iron skillet for the tortillas too, and they turned out so nice, that I’m going to be using the cast iron for them from now on, look at all the bubbles. 😊  They came out nice, golden brown and bubbly. 😊  I tried to make a garlic/tomato/herb bun this week, along with our regular buns and this is how they turned out, not bad. They went great with our spaghetti supper on Friday, especially after we melted some cheese on them. 😊  Yesterday we had some crazy weather. It started off beautiful and sunny, which turned into rain, which turned into sleet, and then we got this. 😊  Today, I spent the day in the kitchen. First, I worked on making dog cookies and then I turned my attention to attempting to make gingerbread cookies…they didn’t turn out the way I’d hoped, but my handsome husband said, they were great and not to worry about that, as they wouldn’t last the night. LOL. 😊  Well, that was how things have been going for us here. I hope you have all been safe and healthy and have had an amazing week!
