Good morning, Hive-ians! 😊 We started our week with more of the icky white stuff and a visit from our neighbourhood Tom turkey. 😊 I took a moment for a quick chat; (it was too cold to stay outside in the wind long,) with Half-Penny while he grabbed some breakfast. 😊 When I snap pictures of the Pigeons in the snow they always look like black and white photos when I look at them. Is it just me? 😊 Preparing for battle? Nope, just happened to catch the photo bombing Pigeon coming in for a landing or taking off, (I can’t remember which,) as I was snapping a shot of my Squirrel friend. 😊 I love capturing the birds with their wings splayed, they look so pretty to me. 😊 We’ve been thoroughly enjoying our new tortilla making skill all this week. I’ve made four batches of tortillas that we’ve used for everything like these yummy steak fajitas, that tasted even better once we added the cheese and it melted. 😊 We were grateful when the sunshine came back, we had two gloriously warm days that melted all the icky white stuff from earlier in the week before the weather turned again. 😊 Some of our pretty sunrise colours this week. 😊 The Tom turkey returned, and he put on quite the show for his lady friends and us to enjoy. This was with his back to us 😊 This was as close to a front view as I got, his lady friends were off to the side, so he never faced me completely. 😊 We had several different Chipmunks come by, once they come close enough and hold still long enough for us to tell the males and females, we’ll be able to start naming them all. 😊 We have a Woodpecker that likes to come by and peck the fence posts to make the pasture fencing sing. I think it’s kind of neat to watch and hear while I’m out doing the chores. 😊 A couple of our lady Squirrels stopped by Ginger is the farthest away and Copper is the closest. 😊 Are your eyes good enough to spot the Barn Swallows in this picture? I almost missed them and deleted it, thinking I took a picture of nothing. LOL! 😊 Our pretty cow Princess standing half on and half off a big patch of ice around the water trough and feeder while she enjoys the sun. 😊 My handsome husband worked on separating and planting our garlic and onions in their new spots this week. He had to be quick about covering them up with the chickens free ranging about the homestead because they love to come along pulling them back out in their search for worms if he isn’t. 😊 The older hatchlings were first to explore the garden, but it didn’t take the younger ones long to follow. 😊 They all stuck together at first but got bolder as the day went on and went exploring the different parts of the garden beds. 😊 Red, our rooster teaching the hatchlings how to scratch in the garden. 😊 One of the Barn Swallows watching from the power wire that crosses our driveway as their mate heads into the birdhouse my handsome husband built and put up on the other side of the driveway. 😊 Sadly, we bid farewell to Red the rooster yesterday, he will be missed. 😊 The rhubarb has gotten better each year since we moved it around to the back of the house where the cows couldn’t get to them. When we moved it over here, there was just one little bit of rhubarb that has now become three separate very healthy and happy plants for my handsome husband to enjoy. 😊 A lot of the Daylily plants and other bulbs that we moved over to the same bed as the rhubarb’s in are coming up now, we’re really looking forward to seeing all the different colours when they bloom. 😊 We got to enjoy some time by the pond watching the new generation of Goldfish in their various colours and patterns emerging, which is always a treat for us. 😊 The Woodpecker was brave enough to come right near the house and that gave me a chance to get a few good pictures of it before it noticed me and took off. I'm going to be adding some more of the pictures I took this morning to my Picfair site on Sunday afternoon, if anyone cares to check them out, the link for the site is at the bottom of this post. 😊 Caught mid departure. 😊 I found a few spots upstairs that I’d forgotten in my previous declutter/cleanup. The first was the kitchen “junk drawer” that had everything you’d ever not think to look for in there in that drawer and a few things that made sense, but nothing that could get removed without hassle. Now it’s organized and things can get taken out/put back in with ease. Hopefully. LOL! 😊 The other cupboards I missed completely were the ones over our clothes washer and dryers. There were things stuffed in several different spots that are now grouped together or with like items and things should work more smoothly with them now. Of course, all bets are off if my handsome husband gets looking for something without asking about the new organization. He never puts things back where they belong, so this should last right about until the first time he needs something and I’m not here to find it for him. LOL! 😊 They aren’t perfect, I could only reach so far on the shelves and the stuff at the very back of the top shelf will have to be brought forward by my handsome husband; (he’s more than a foot taller than me and can reach everything I can’t,) so I can get them into their new homes, but I’m happy with what I accomplished today. 😊 Well, that was how things have been going for us here. I hope you have all been safe and healthy and have had an amazing week! 😊 I’m grateful to God for blessing us with another week to share with you here. 😊 God bless you all. 😊 Have an awesome week everyone! 😊 Anyone else interested in a badge like this?
