I'm all for automation and batching your work but I believe creating rhythm is even more important. # It's semi-automatic Whether you want to or not, you probably already have a lot of rhythm in your life, both personal and professional. This is why it can be so difficult to change a bad habit. Whenever you encounter the trigger for that habit, you'll carry it out without even thinking about it. It's a wonderful design if we harness it's power for good though. # Make rhythms for the important things. If you don't know where to start when implementing conscious rhythm into your business or if you have just launched a new business, [like me](https://steemit.com/blog/@frugallady/starting-a-micro-business), then start with the most important things. It can be overwhelming if you look at every aspect of your business or personal life for that matter at once, but most people know what the most important aspects are. For me, there are two things that take precedence. I need to [create custom pins](https://www.pinterest.dk/busyhandsquiethearts/all-the-things-i-love/) every day and I need to add to my [Tailwind](https://www.tailwindapp.com/i/busyhandsquiethearts) queue. It's not overwhelming though because I know exactly what order to do them in. In this rhythm, I've only included the things that pertain to Steemit and [my Pinterest business](https://www.pinterest.dk/busyhandsquiethearts/). 1) Open Steemit and go to the wallet, make claim and transfer any SBD to the market. 2) Go to replies, read all of them, respond and upvote where appropriate. 3) Write and publish [Your Daily Word]() for the day - I select the verse during my morning Bible study. 4) Work on a post for the day, if one is already in mind. I try to come up with the topic for the next day the night before. 5) Go to my [Tailwind](https://www.tailwindapp.com/i/busyhandsquiethearts) account and check everything is working well (most of my pins post while I sleep, I've only once had a pin not post correctly and that was rescheduled with a single click ). See how far out I'm scheduled. 6) Decide what board I'll make pins for - find products to promote. 7) Make the custom pins and schedule them. 8) Find and schedule regular pins that I believe will add value to my followers' lives. This entire routine takes about 1 hour, sometimes 1,5 hour if there are a lot of thoughtful replies or a longer Steemit post to be written. I then get on with the work for my Master's degree. On Saturdays, I do this routine at night because we keep the Sabbath. I will also add pins to my queue throughout the day when I'm taking breaks from studying, but this way I don't have to if anything comes up. By scheduling both regular pins and custom pins I'm hoping to create a buffer so I can eventually take weeks or months off if needed and still make an income. # Shameless self-promotion I realize that these posts can come across as shameless self-promotion. They are part that of course, but more so I hope to add value to your day with them too. This is what's in my heart and mind at the moment and the mouth runs over with what the heart is full of. I want to say thank you to those of you who have [followed me](https://www.pinterest.dk/busyhandsquiethearts/) as a result of these posts. It's a great help to establish the business. I've made [a special board](https://www.pinterest.dk/busyhandsquiethearts/all-the-things-i-love/) you can go to, should you be so inclined, which only contains my custom pins. If you click through on any of them I make about € 0,04 at the moment per click - no purchase necessary. With that shameless plug out of the way, I'll sign off, and remember, keep your hands busy and your hearts quiet.
