Kendra and Maliyah were formerly conjoined twins. They went through a surgery at the age of four to get separated.

It was indeed a difficult decision for their parents since they were fused together at the torso, sharing an abdomen, pelvis, liver, kidney, large intestine and two legs.

Both sisters are grateful to their parents for making the decision.

They may be identical twins but they have different personalities. Kendra had the kidney while the other twin received a kidney that was donated by their mum.

When the body rejected the donated kidney ten years later, Maliyah had to go through dialysis.

It was indeed very tough for Maliyah. Both sisters stayed strong and live positive.

They were inspiration to their peers as they were able to face their challenges.
