Values In Action In Singapore School
In Singapore, all schools would find ways to get students to get involved in a programme called Values In Action (VIA).

In this programme, students would be given opportunities in contributing to society and community.

Kranji Secondary School in Singapore allows its students to take ownership of how they want to contribute to the community through planning activities for the elderly and conducting them that allow them to contribute to the pioneers of Singapore meaningfully.

They would reflect on their experience with the elderly and what they have learnt in organising activities for them.

As parents and teachers, we can encourage our kids to contribute to society but it would be more impactful when they have a chance to do it personally.

They would experience the value of contributing to society when they feel the appreciation of the elderly for their effort in organizing the activities.

The intrinsic reward is priceless and it leaves an impactful memory for these kids.
