The older daughter, Sandra got up from the table. She went over to maria and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Don't mind whatever Andrea has said; she's  just being emotional. She will come and apologise to you later when she's back to her senses," she said. She excused herself and went after Andrea.



Michael was surprised. Andrea was even a gentler person compare to sandra who was just the replication of her mother. What was really happening? He looked at his wife again; she was silent and had resumed her meal though eating as if she would rather not.



He decided to be quiet. He may have to be discipline Andrea for being so impolite and for walking out on everyone especially him during dinner. Of course, he would not mention that he was punishing her for the unkind utterance she had made to a cousin.



The following morning, Andrea was still as angry as the previous night. She came to the table for breakfast but kept hissing and smacking her lips with contempt.


"Stop that stupid behaviour at once," Sarah yelled at her. "What is the meaning of all this. If you wanted to feel good, you should have studied hard and beaten everybody in your class."
