every  player has its own strategy ,his own way of playing and of course his own preferences 
but when it comes to newbies then things are a bit more complicated
i do understand that Splinterlands has become a complex game with so many cards to use 
sometimes this huge plethora of cards may drive some players very confused about which ones they must use ,which ones they must buy
in this series of posts i'm trying to make things easier for a newcomer by pointing out some MUST-HAVE cards
when you have this information is much more easy to go forward and built your account in this wonderful game

i have to say again that everything i write in my posts is totally my opinion on how i see things and doesn't mean that you have to follow my advice cause nobody can guarantee that it is the correct one
i'm  a very experienced player though and my records can prove that so my opinion can be taken into consideration
having said that  today we're to discuss about another MUST-HAVE card in this supernova game
i'm talking about MUSHROOM SEER, another Reward rare Earth Splinter card 

if you have read my other posts you will see that all the monster-cards i recommend till now are all REWARD cards
i believe this shows that the administration and development team is doing a great job and the rewards you actually getting through daily quests are not in vain , actually they are critical cards which you definitely need in order to play

now let's try to see some details on the SEER

the Seer is a magic attack monster, Earth Splinter was not so powerful in magic ( i'm not saying it was a weak Splinter just not so powerful in magic ) till Chaos Legion was introduced and the new Summoner OBSIDIAN invaded our lives
by the time OBSIDIAN took action all Earth magic attack monsters got extra value 
the Seer was no exception, having an attack of 2 points from lvl 1 becomes very powerful with OBSIDIAN as a Summoner

the most important thing with Mushroom Seer is not his attack though
it is his Silence ability from lvl 1
the Seer causes serious headache  to any opponent who decides to use magic attack in his fight,as he reduces by 1 point the rival's attack points
in case you decide to upgrade him he gets the Poison at lvl 5and becomes even more lethal

i don't know what you think about this NFT but my opinion and recommendation is to go buy it no matter what
cut the long story short you need this card, even if you decide not to upgrade him but keep him at lvl 1 you still need the card
this card some months ago was trading for 15$
taking into consideration that at some point during the bull-run it reached 80$ per BCX i would say that $3.17 ,money that you need today in order to buy it is nothing serious
i would consider this price lvl quite good but the thing that we now enter the most vicious phase  of the bear-market you might expect the prices to go a bit lower so you can risk to wait further more to get the card 
it is a risk though cause you may never see the card lower than this level, so buying or not ,it's totally up to you 

the Seer also makes a very good battling pair with UNICORN MUSTANG 
the unicorn has void ability from lvl 1 so in conjunction  with Seer's Silence , they create a very drastic and effective defense mechanism which most of the times gives you advantage when of course you battle against a rival who decide to use magic as his main weapon
another very good card to go with the Seer is the Neutral legendary   Lord Arianthus 

in conclusion Mushroom Seer while being a Reward card is a unique monster with many many perks and this is the reason i distinguish him amongst other cards 
i recommend him 100% and i'm sure even if you don't use him a lot eventually (which would be unexpected) , you will find it useful   in many cases
