Thoughts about Hive
In mainstream social media platforms and other forums the CONVID-19 pandemic is the center of discussion among the users. Everyone is so concerned about it because it concerns our health, lives, career, investments and or business.

While in the Steem network, the main topic of discussion has nothing to do with the pandemic ~ it’s about the Hostile take-over & the new Hive blockchain.

As the launch of the new Hive is on its way, I think that we already move-on from Justin Sun’s hostile take-over. The community representatives & witnesses are done talking to the other side and already came-up to a solution.

A solution that provides choices for every steem users, which are:

**Option A**: complete migration to Hive & then dump their Steem for Hive (complete loyalty to Hive)

**Option B**: maintain both Hive & Steem accounts (double dipping)

**Option C**: dump Hive and sell for Steem (complete loyalty to Steem)

**Option D**: don’t bother at all… (confused & idle the whole time)

What could be the potential reaction of the community?

I’m not really sure but I could only assume that **Option B** will be the common reaction. In the [announcement of Hive](https://steemit.com/communityfork/@hiveio/announcing-the-launch-of-hive-blockchain) there are no statements that restrain anyone to participate on both blockchains. And all Steem accounts will be reflected to the new Hive platform with exemption of Steemit Inc related accounts and Steem Users who publicly declared their allegiance to Justin Sun’s hostile take-over of Steem network.

I think it’s also smart to stay on both chains for a while until you are decided on where to put your loyalty into, will you choose Hive or Steem? You don’t need to answer this now until your final verdict.

What will happen on the launch day of Hive?

There will be a lot of buzz (probably chaos) in the Steem network for sure. Do you remember the day when the hostile take-over took place? A complete halt of many dapps & services in the Steem network. Many of the frontends stopped updating the feed while some are completely halted. The automation services are down and the users can’t do anything about it.

Why is that? It’s because the owners of those apps and services don’t support the hostile take-over. And if these service developers & dapp owners will do the same on the launch date and Tron (anybody) won’t replace these services then Steem is good as dead.

***In this case, what will you do?***
