PepsiCo CEO Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi...She spells SUCCESS with 5 C's..!
One of the highest-ranking women in corporate America, Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi was born on October 28, 1955, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Nooyi grew up in the socially conservative city of Madras (now Chennai), India.

Her mother adhered to some traditional beliefs - she stressed the importance of seeking a good husband early - but she also instilled in her two daughters the belief that they could grow up to become whoever they wanted.

In her keynote address at the BlogHer'11 Conference at San Diego, August 5, 2011, she distilled the quintessence of her phenomenal achievements into these 5 C's:

**Competency** - Stand out from the pack and be a lifelong learner. Remain ahead and abreast in your field. There is no other route to making yourself different and special.

**Courage and Confidence** - Speak out. Establish your knowledge base and be confident in it as a leader. I look at courage and confidence as a pair: one comes from the other.

**Communication** - Over-invest in communication: both oral and written. You can never have enough of these skills. It's something you need to work on constantly. Remember, leaders have to keep their troops motivated all the time.

**Consistency** - Remain steady, reliable and determined. It gives you credibility and a baseline to measure your successes and failures. You can be disruptive in thinking and innovating. But do them with consistency of belief.

**Compass** - Keep your compass of integrity working. Nothing is more critical in your job than your integrity. If your compass doesn't point North with pinpoint accuracy all the time, you'll come crashing down no matter how strong your other C's are."
