Now that we’re just about finished with Q2 2017 I’m going to check out the Iconomi Performance Fund. If you are not familiar with [Iconomi](https://www.iconomi.net/) check out my original article [here](https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@g-dubs/exploring-altcoins-what-s-iconomi).
http://i66.tinypic.com/6zqxw5.jpg
The Iconomi Performance Fund (ICNP) is Iconomi’s actively managed DAA (digital asset array). At the end of Q1 2017 the value of ICNP stood at $9,959,740. You can find the quarterly report [here](https://drive.google.com/viewerng/viewer?url=https://static.iconomi.net/reports/Report_Q1_2017_Appendix.pdf). At the end of Q1 2017 ICNP held funds to be invested in BTC, ETH, LSK, EUR, and USD. Investments at the time included Byteball, Golem, Santiment, and WeTrust. Let’s see what’s new for Q2 2017. Below is the uninvested assets, which stands around $34 million based on current prices.
http://i63.tinypic.com/m8nx44.jpg
The table below shows ICNP’s investments as of today. As you can see they added Cosmos, Aeternity, Matchpool, iExec, and Aragon. (Tokens priced in ETH do not have a trading coin yet)
http://i64.tinypic.com/2lllkxd.jpg
So as of this writing ICNP's book value is roughly $51 million. They've done well with the ether price appreciation. The one thing I don’t like is there isn’t a whole lot of commentary on their reasoning behind each investment that's publicly disclosed. The Byteball investment is simply a free giveaway if you can link up your bitcoin account. I wrote about it [here](https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@g-dubs/how-to-get-free-crypto-with-bitcoin-part-2). And Iconomi wrote about it [here](https://medium.com/iconominet/iconomi-acquires-9-766-of-byteball-initial-distribution-free-of-charge-cd9c4a5d49ac). [Santiment](https://medium.com/iconominet/iconomi-invested-2-000-eth-into-the-santiment-pre-sale-4edcc1098aca) is one Iconomi likes because they believe it’s a valuable tool, they like management, and they believe getting in on the ICO will give them the best value. They are fortunate because regular shlubs like myself are not going to get a piece of this ICO. I wrote about it [here](https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@g-dubs/santiment-a-new-crypto-token-sale-worth-checking-out). I do like the Santiment project and can’t wait to check it out. There’s really not much else out there about the other investments. You can check out this [article](https://medium.com/iconominet/iconomi-performance-fund-is-launched-with-the-first-investment-588ea41e95ab) from CEO Tim Zagar which talks a little about the Golem investment and how ICNP makes their other investments. The only investment I don’t really like in their portfolio is Matchpool (GUP). What can they do that Match or eHarmony can’t? What’s your thoughts? ______________________________________________________________________ For more articles on cryptocurrencies follow me @g-dubs.
