We are over half way through 2022 which means that it’s the perfect time to check where we are currently standing with our plans for 2022. In this article I want to talk about my Hive journey so far, what I think is going very well and where I think I still can improve. Furthermore, I would like to discuss my targets for the remaining year. We will conclude this article with the same story for Splinterlands, since it is also part of Hive and I really enjoying playing this game and becoming better every day!

### The Path So Far
Let’s begin with some boring backstory to myself! I started my Hive journey around September of last year. This means I am almost one year present on this amazing platform and I am learning everyday a little bit more. Whether it is by trying out new things, figuring out a new functionality or reading an article of one of you and becoming more enlightened after that! In the beginning, the journey was difficult. My writing skills were certainly not the greatest and my understanding for crypto and especially the Hive blockchain was very little.

One example for that was the understanding of resources. As you all know, we can not just post an infinite amount on this platform. In order to post more frequently, you need to Power Up your Hive! The more HP you have the more you can post. But this was certainly not the only thing that I learned in this year. After becoming more consistent with my posts I slowly found interest in the different communities. Here I learned that engaging in the communities is actually more important than posting an article every day. The responding to comments is also much appreciated and this is what I have always tried to do consistently! 

At the moment I am trying to post an article every day. It is always fun to write about the newest crypto events as well as the global state of the economy. But I also found myself very engaged in the Splinterlands and Sports community of Hive! At the moment I have around 1300 HP and can make 2.3HP per week. I think I could do better in the Author rewards but getting over 60HP per week is actually pretty decent in my current situation! I am also trying to convert as much HBD into Hive at the moment because I feel like Hive is at e very nice price-point at the moment.

### Goals Until The End Of The Year
With the current state out of the way, let’s discuss what goals I set myself until the end of the year. Assuming I can keep up with the current rate of posting, I set myself the goal of 2500 HP. I think this could be a great milestone going into 2023 and a great basis to grow my account more! I think I could reach this goal at my current pace of growth but I definitely wanted to ramp up my daily posts. 
Like I said previously, I am currently at around one post per day. Until the end of the year it would be nice to consistently post 1.5 posts a day. Meaning around 10 posts a week. I don’t think that it is too much to ask of myself. I have many topics in my head and I am also very motivated to write. My problem at the moment is the time distribution. Because I am working a job that requires me to stay late often times, It is very hard to find the time to pull out another article out of my figners. With that being said, I am expecting the work load to ramp down by the end of the year which would eventually allow me to fulfill this goal.

Last but not least, my goal is to reach the 4HP per week point. I slowly see how the curation HP starting to make a difference in the account growth. The more active you stay on this platform the higher your “passive” HP becomes. This will certainly trigger a domino effect int the future and will give me the opportunity to set myself up very nicely for 2023.


### Splinterlands
To wrap up this article, I also wanted to talk about my Splinterlands Goals. Since the last big changes I started to enjoy this game even more. It just motivates me to play a game where the developers are trying to make the experience for all the players better. With regular new content and exciting battles, this game is definitely not the worst to spend some of your time on. I am currently on around 53k CP and in the Modern Variant in Gold 3. I am often struggling against the stronger opponents which is why my target there is to upgrade my summoners to level 4 and 5 as soon as possible. I am aware that this will require a small investment but I think it will pay off in the long run.

My Goal by the end of the year is being comfortable around Gold 2 with 75k CP. This way I can assure that I will get Gold Chests every season which are defiantly better than Silver ones. Last but not least I am trying to put some HBD aside in order to be able to purchase one land plot. I am still trying to figure out whether one plot of land will be effective or help me to proceed in the game but I am defiantly determined to try it out.

Last but not least, one of my other goals is to get one of the new legendary summoners. In order to get one I am waiting a little bit for them to be in the game and also to see which ones can be the most beneficial. The best move would be to get a summoner that I have not leveled yet, which would be either Dragon or Death, so let’s see about this goal when these cards will be released.
