Another week and another Battle Mage Secret to unveil! This time around we are trying to find the best strategy to fight an Equalizer game. First, we will talk about the actual ruleset and what special things we need to think off. Secondly, we will talk about the actual strategy and what cards specifically we are using. Last but not least, we will take a look at the actual battle itself. Without further ado, let’s jump straight into the post!

### Equalizer Ruleset
Let’s talk about the Equalizer Ruleset first. As the name suggests and as the symbol clearly shows: in this ruleset, the health is being equalized. This means that all cards will have the same amount of health. The good thing about that is that the health that every card is going to take is the highest one on the field! This means that in general it would benefit us to play cards with great effect buts low health since their health will get boosted anyways.

With that being said, there is always the gamble and hope that your enemy will play the minion with the highest amount of health but I would recommend to put this into your own hands for the simple reason that you will get absolute control over your line up. Another very important point is that we will need to fill our board! If we have the luxury of getting a lot of health on each of our cards, bumper cards will get it as well which will make them actually very usable in general.


### Magic Attackers & Strategy!
With the general understanding of the Equalizer Ruleset, let’s talk about our strategy in the upcoming battle. In my opinion, the Magic attackers are the strongest attacking type. They can attack through armor and also can attack from any position, what else do you want? In general they have two disadvantages though! They are sometimes very slow and they do not have a lot health. Well, with the Equalizer Ruleset, we can eliminate one of these disadvantages! This means that we are getting a very effective force!

With Regal Peryton on the field, we already have the speed! The additional Flying Ability makes this card even better and if its health is getting bumped up to 8 with an additional Magic attack boost, this card is becoming a real beast on the field! In general we also need to protect our magic attackers from regular attacks, which is why we need to mention Queen Mycelia which grants us two armor to every card! This means that we are now protected against Ranged and Melee attacks!

Last but not least, we need to take advantage of the Equalizer Ruleset and play Djinn Biljka! On its base card, this card only has 2 health but in the Equalizer Ruleset, it gets bumped up! With the Void ability we are also able to get a bit of resistance against potential magic attackers from the opponent’s side! All in all we filled out the team with a few more Magic attackers and finished the build off with a great tank: Mycelic Infantry!

### Example Battle
Going into the battle, it is always a surprise which way our opponent went. While I must say that the Life Splitner with the ranged attacking style was probably not the best choice due to the fact that the ranged attackers can not attack from the first position, his idea was clear! He wanted the first strike by slowing us down as well as boosting his speed. On top of that he had some pretty good attackers with the Blast and Double strike Ability. His only problem was that the attacking numbers combined were clearly in my favor! While we were doing 18 damage each turn his team was only able to deal 15. On top of that, his last three attackers are not able to attack from the first position which reduces his attacking potential to the end of the battle!
