The advent of modern technology has contributed immensely to the spate  of communication, making the world a global village whereby every persons can reach the extreme part of the world and beyond.

In the early years, technology served the purpose for which it was invented until the recent years where some of the technologies are used for various misappropriations like cybercrime, pornography among others.

Cybercrime is a fast - growing area of crime. Many criminals are exploiting the speed, convenience and anonymity created by the internet to commit a diverse range of criminal activities causing serious harm and posing wide threat to victims worldwide.
In the past, cybercrime was committed mainly by individuals or small groups. Today, we are seeing highly complex cybercriminal networks bringing together individuals across the globe to  commit crime on an unprecedented scale.
Many criminal organization turn increasingly to the internet to facilitate their activities and maximize profit in the shortest time, such as theft, fraud, illegal gambling, sales of fake medicines among other social vices.
However, lets support interpol like Cybercrime Working Group (NCWG) that is working earnestly  to curb the spread of various criminal activities.
