Gamson

First, we must talk a little about its history, this goes back to the mid 60's, where William A. Gamson professor in sociology and communication in search of a new didactic system to explain his students complex theories about the behavior between humans, he devised a game (it is not a video game but a game between people) where each one took a specific role, it could be seen in a simple way how the different actions, attitudes and especially the charges of each person could demonstrate the different governmental changes in a society, this great creation called "SimSoc" or also known as the Simulated Society.

class="text-justify">
This game among students became a resounding success in many schools, so decided to formalize a series of rules and regulations through a book, this was generalized through a name called "Roles Games" which as it was happening time has come out different versions and updates, one of these manuals would fall into the hands of a fan of literature about battles and fantastic fights called Dave Arneson, this with the knowledge of that book would invent a game called Blackmoor, here the participants would take different roles With different skills, having as a scoop a system of experience which was obtained through battles, to emerge victorious from it you could upload skill points in different attributes based on a scale of numbers that increased depending on the level and experience.

http://dmdavid.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/J_Eric_Holmes_2.jpg <a Gygax

At the same time an enthusiast for the games called Gary Gygax designed a video game quite known by many at that time called "Chainmail", inspired by different war events, he met Dave Arneson, both were exciting players of the "Rol Games", so they decided to unite their two great creations to form the basis of one of the most acclaimed table games of all time, starting a new genre which would be totally unstoppable with the passing of time, the legendary Dungeons & Dragons published at the beginning of the 70s.

of the 70s to make videogames on different platforms, but as you can imagine these were designed in a very primitive way, so they did not capture a good audience, however, this was just the beginning of one of the most emblematic genres in the history of videogames called "Computer Role Playing Game" (CRPG), this name was established with the purpose of distinguishing them from table games, however when they decayed at the time of The 90s (the board games) simplified its name to RPG.

http://img2.meristation.com/files/imagenes/general/legend-of-zelda.png
Currently there are many types of this genre, to mention some we have the MMORPG, WRPG, JRPG, GRPG, TRPG, ARPG among others, these are simply branches originated by the same system which was mentioned in the previous paragraph, however, we can classify these video games according to their origin, having two names which are Western Role Playing Game (WRPG) that would be those games from the West and the Japanese Role Playing Game (JRPG) that clearly as its name indicates are of Japanese origin, each one has characteristics which clearly differentiate them from each other, causing a division between tastes and colors due to the way in which the video game is represented and developed.

http://i.imgur.com/c06sH0j.jpg Source

Once identified the type of videogame according to their origin, these are subdivided into what we could determine in two subclasses, Classic RPG which is distinguished by having a battle of turns where we choose forms of attack and defense with two main elements, the physical and the magic, and finally the Action RPG where the action would be the main protagonist since the battles are more direct without the need of turns, this is where a lot of modalities intervene that varies the way or gameplay in the game , for example a Beat 'em up (I against the neighborhood) can have an Action RPG element as well as a Hack & Slash (these to mention a few examples).

http://www.gameranx.com/img/12-Aug/sacred-3shot01.jpg Source

If you have never played any RPG game because they seem annoying or tedious I think you have not played the indicated one, already with the previous explanation you can realize that there are a lot of ramifications which have their own characteristics, that's when you have to choose the one that causes you the most addiction as a gamer, you do not necessarily have to play the most amazing RPG of all time, for example, if you are a person who loves deep stories, where the characters have a great importance and that involve you within a sea of inconveniences and problems you must unquestionably go for the branch of the JRPG, because 90% of their creations have that special characteristic, but if on the contrary you are more adventurous and you like more the action, with simple missions where you must annihilate your enemies in the most attractive way possible your balance is inclined more towards the WRPG, as indicated above all It will depend on our tastes.

href="https://www.kinguin.net/es/category/42400/diablo-3-rise-of-the-necromancer-eu-battle-net-cd-key/">Source

Finally I can recommend some games of this genre which personally seem to me simply fantastic, by the branch of JRPG Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy IV (I recommend the most updated version) or Nier: Automata, in the case of WRPG The Witcher 2 or 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or Diablo 2, there are many games that I can recommend but I think it would be too extensive to cover all, I think the ones I mentioned have the necessary elements to choose and consider which branch you would like consider for future videogames, this is one of the most important genres within the industry since many videogames although it does not seem to have in its playability the essence of the evolution of the RPG.

http://wallpapershdnow.com/images/games/rol/child-of-light/child-of-light-wallpaper-2.jpg <a
