Greetings! Here I am back with another battle, this time it's Bortus against a well known mage whose summoner ability is completely opposite, one reduces magic while the other increases it. The clash of both forces only returned an equilibrium, as if there was no advantage or disadvantage on their side, a clash of two opposing elements that only dissolves. Like a flare and a wave that collide and leave only vapor that disperses.

---
 ***[From Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com/) and [Unplash](LINK)***
---

In the first position two twin legends clash, both are Djinn Oshannus, however my enemy's is higher in level and has an ability that allows him to dodge magic attacks, the advantage in this sense was his, however his magic empowerment was canceled by my summoner, so his magic damage strategy was quite affected. Both had void so it was great that my strategy had a lot of archers present, this ended up being a key point for the victory.

In the second position "Baakjira" was my secondary tank, given that there was a mage with "Blast", his positioning was excellent to prevent Poseidon from being hurt and could continue devastating from a distance. On the other hand, "River Nymph" was present to clean his allies of negative states in the first position, however, even though the pirate ghost had "affliction" there were no healers in the enemy team that took advantage of the support of the nymph to keep healing the tanks.

For the third position Poseidon is again among my chosen monsters, his 4 points of damage make him fearsome on the battlefield, personally I consider him one of my best monsters. I got him from a pack I was given a long time ago and to this day he is still a respectable legend in combat. In the enemy field, another legend of the oceans was present, "Ruler of the Seas", with 2 points of magic damage and his "blast" ability is not weak at all, however, there was so much defense against magic in my team that his participation was quite overshadowed.

In the fourth position, another classic of my strategies is presented, "AxeMaster" with his Double Strike ability doubles his lethality, added to that his speed is not far behind so it is not uncommon to see him in the rear of many strategists. My opponent opted for "Sea Genie", with an intimidating golden color that surrounded him and a powerful level 4 that was not far behind. With his 2 points of damage he managed to hurt Oshannus but the punishment was not enough to take him down. He also had Knock Out due to the battle condition, however, there was no stun in the battle so this ability was not seen in action.

At the end of each battle line, things varied a lot because my opponent this time opted for a sniper and a Venari known for her ability to increase the armor of her allies, while for my part the Captain's Ghost and the fast and crazy Supply Runner were my chosen champions. The ghost's ability was covered by the nymph though whether she was there or not, it didn't make much difference with the lack of healers. The Sniper managed to affect Baakjira but not enough to take him down, while the defense provided by Venari WaveSmith was not enough to overcome the great offensive of the archers.
***The complete alineation was:*** If you want to see the replay click [here](https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_b982e3167ede45d7a5b09831bc273b68&ref=gabrielrr17).

---

*Extra Curious facts:*
Despite the level difference and the presence of the mighty Alric, by the fourth round the victory had already been achieved by my team. I would say that all the defense against magic was the key, together with the archer offense. As a bonus, the battle condition "Keep your distance" was also an important point in this battle, perhaps even decisive for the victory.
---

If you want to join in the wonderful world of Splinterlands click [here](https://splinterlands.com?ref=gabrielrr17 )

---

Gab.com

Twitter

Cuenta secundaria (Dibujos, edición y juegos) | Secondary account (Drawings, editing and games)
