My Hive Goals, after 1 Week from 2023
This is a short sum-up table with the state of my goals in easier TLDR form. The table has only some information, so if you want details, they can be found in the post.

|Current State/Other Selection Criterion|Goals Matching the Criterion|
|-|-|
|Ongoing|4 (HP + HBD Savings, LEO Staked, Comments Made, DEC Saved)|
|Main goals|3 (HP + HBD Savings, LEO Staked, Comments Made)|
|Goals|1 (DEC Saved)|

I include a link to the [initial goal-setting post for 2023](https://leofinance.io/@gadrian/my-hive-goals-for-2023), for reference, if needed.

All my goals for 2023 are doing good during the first week of the year, except for one: [DEC](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-dark-energy-crystal-dec) Saved.

In this case, the Immortalis [airdrop](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-cards-airdrops) is in the way. As I promised myself to [max out](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-maxing-out-a-card) all the airdrops associated with the [Chaos Legion](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-chaos-legion-edition) [edition](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-editions), and they extended into 2023, I'm diverting funds to buy them off the market instead of saving DEC. I don't really like that, to be honest, as this might potentially hurt my land focus for 2023.

Let's see what changed since last week.

### [HIVE Power (HP)](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-hive-power-hp) + [HBD](https://leofinance.io/@crypto-guides/what-are-hive-backed-dollars-hbd) in [Savings](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-savings-account-hive) Main Goal

The way I created this goal, as a dual-[token](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-token), dual-target one, may suffer serious fluctuations from one week to another. If prices change, even if I don't add anything to the balances, the "progress" would change.

I'm curious if this would make any sense on a longer timeframe, but I might have to adjust the targets. For example, on my target in HBD, I already have a 17.5% progress because [HIVE](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-usdhive) rose from below 0.26 to 0.286 (and HBD from about 0.97 to 0.993).

Of course, I also added 1k HIVE Power on HPUD and about 15 HBD into savings, but the price differential is also counted as progress (or regress) in the spreadsheet.

If HIVE's price goes down again by next week (which isn't improbable), we will see a regress on the HBD target, most likely.

### [LEO](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leo) [Staked](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-staking) Main Goal

I only staked my LEO at the beginning of the week, and now I'm waiting with it liquid for the LPUD next week. From calculations [shared only a few days ago](https://leofinance.io/@gadrian/my-leo-goals-january-monthly-update), I should be doing well with my LEO staked goal, once the liquid part is considered.

### Splinterlands [Land](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-land) Expansion Main Focus

Land expansion's main focus extends throughout 2023. Unless I will change the strategy, it will be the only main focus / main goal for Splinterlands in 2023. But there will be several 1-3 months goals.

#### First Land-Related Goal: [DEC](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-dark-energy-crystal-dec) Saved

A big fat zero for this goal! I blame Immortalis for that, as I described in the introduction.

### [Comments](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-comment-hive) Made

I started this week with a total of 11920 comments made.

Ended the week with 12054 comments made, which brings the number of my comments this week to 134.

Better than the needed average of 117 to reach the goal of 18k.

Even better than the average of 125 comments per week to have 500 minimum comments per month, which is more like a soft goal.

### Weekly Task - Buy EDS

This turned out to be more difficult than I thought, mainly because of the low [liquidity](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-liquidity) of most Hive-Engine tokens.

Unless I hit the sell orders, it can take a while to actually buy something I want.

That's why I decided to go for multiple targets at the same time. Whichever hits would strangely fill in this role of a "weekly task".

Last week I noticed an announcement saying the last batch of mega miners for the EDS project was put up for sale.

So I bought a number of EDSMM tokens (23). After a few days, noticing I don't receive any mining rewards, I realized I have too few, and I sold them back at practically the same price.

And I bought EDS tokens instead since I had a ridiculously low amount of them and they give out HIVE dividends.

So, after some "adventures", I guess we can call EDS my weekly task which was achieved.
