Operation garage and workshop: It's finished!
My garage and workshop organisation-mission took a big leap forward today and I took a great deal of satisfaction from standing back tonight, after working all day, nodding and saying to myself, *G-dog, you're done.*

It's been several weeks since we moved house and because we're retaining the other house we've had the luxury of moving things over slowly; We've been sorting then arranging things in the new workshop and garage areas over the last weeks and because those areas are separated in the new place we've been able to set it up better; We also have the bonus of being able to store the things we don't need often or rarely use back at our old house.

Last weekend I moved my gun safes across; It was a 39 degree day, Celcius not Fahrenheit; A of mine, Faith and I worked hard to get the very heavy and bulky things over to the new house and placed. No one got crushed under hundreds of kilograms of safes and my guns are all back snuggly in their holders which is a relief.

That was the roadblock to getting all the rest done actually, the safes, as they needed to be placed first but now a week later...Well, my workshop is looking *sweet* and my garage and storage area is organised with almost eight metres of triple-shelf racking over 2.5 metres tall with lidded storage tubs holding our stuff...All itemised and labelled. It's perfection...Well, not perfection as that doesn't exist...But it's awesome!

I'd show you photos but I can't now as I'd be photographing my stuff, my safes and things, and I'm not inclined to do so on the blockchain...You'll just have to imagine it. In fact just imagine the image I took of this McLaren P1 *and then think of something completely, totally different* and you'll have a good idea what it all looks like.

Moving house is never a pleasant thing to do; We've done it a few times and are good at it, but it's a pain in the ass; I'm really pleased we have the luxury of time with this move though. We've been able to have a strategy rather than simply move everything all at once then over months having to sort through things and having things go missing.

I'm most pleased to have my garage and workshop sorted now though; It's is most suited to my slightly OCD nature. I've done the lighting, strategically placed to provide light right where I need it, and my cabinets, tool boxes, work benches, safes and ammunition reloading equipment is placed in a far better way than in my last workshop. There'll be minor adjustments here and there but today I locked it up, armed the alarm and walked away satisfied that it's pretty much done, and done to my liking. It made for the perfect end to my Sunday.

How has your weekend been so far? Relaxing? Busy? Productive or wasted time? Drop a comment below and tell me about it.
