Not long ago I wrote about an unfortunate incident - that time I *#splooshed rather messily on my jeans* which you can read about ***<a href="https://peakd.com/hive-160243/@galenkp/splooshed-on-my-jeans">here</a>*** if you dare. I was thinking about #splooshing today, as often happens, and figured I'd tell you about my nuts and how most mornings I #sploosh on them.

Because I like to look after my health I focus on my physical activity, drinking plenty of water and sleeping (a difficult thing for me sometimes) for seven hours a night. I also think about what I eat, aim for healthy choices and quantities, and eat regularly, six times a day, rather than leaving long gaps - I fast stringently in between those times I eat though. 

Breakfast is one of the most important meals for me and it's at breakfast time when I #sploosh on my nuts. 

From time to time I enjoy a hearty breakfast of bacon and eggs, an omelette (I make a decent omelette), poached eggs on toast and sometimes smashed avocado on toasted sourdough or some such thing...I've posted about those before, but most often I have a protein-enhanced yoghurt. 

I transitioned from a smoothie to yoghurt some time ago, I kind of missed chewing, and before you say, *you can't chew yoghurt g-dog,* one can *if that yoghurt is #splooshed upon one's nuts!* 

I'll admit, it's technically incorrect to say, *yoghurt #splooshed on my nuts,* because the yoghurt is #splooshed into the bowl and the nuts are put on top, but I used a little poetic license to make my title more #splooshtastic.

I choose a *no added sugar* vanilla yoghurt, because sugar is the devil, which I #sploosh into a bowl and then grab my nuts, usually cashew, almond and walnuts, and sprinkle them on. It's not difficult, but it's *tasty!*

This forms my breakfast around five out of seven days and sometimes I switch it up by adding a low-carbohydrate granola (86% nuts and seeds) instead of the nuts, pictured above. 

The combination of low carbohydrate nuts or granola and the added protein in the yoghurt works well; the protein keeps me from feeling hungry and the small amount of carbohydrates gives me the energy I'll need to get through to mid-morning when I have a snack, an apple or pear, or no-sugar muesli bar or some such thing.

So that's what I #sploosh on my nuts around breakfast time, and sometimes in the evening too if I'm honest, and I find it to be an awesome way to start my day...if coffee is added into the mix of course. #splooshgasmic
