If you love cars but you're tired of racing games, Twisted Metal is (or was) for you. It came out on the PS 1 so many years ago and it was one of our favorite games on the PlayStation back then. 

Twisted Metal is like a sick brawl among all kinds of vehicles with all types of murderous weapons. What's not to like?

## Overview
This game is basically a derby and each vehicle has their own projectiles and weapons, including guns, flamethrowers, bombs and so on. It's a messy brawl to put it simply.

You basically choose your vehicle and the map in which you wish to battle, and fight with opposing drivers. The one who survives the brawl wins. The icon of this game is basically a wicked looking clown so if you remember that, you've probably played this.

If you play the story mode, there'll be bosses on each level and they are hard to defeat. You need to defeat the weak ones first and the boss appears.

The game is better explained with what the cars can do. Here's a list of some of the vehicles you'll find on Twisted Metal.

To be honest we can't remember which Twisted Metal we played, but from the images it should be Twisted Metal 4. 

## Demolition Vehicles

1. Calypso

Calypso in Twisted Metal 4 drives a huge truck and it's more like a nuke vehicle. It has a huge rocket launcher at the back of the truck that's super strong but it can't be used that often. Definitely stay away from his ultimate.

2. Sweet Tooth

Sweet Tooth is actually the clown, i.e. the boss of this whole game. He's the face of the game and also the final boss of the game. You can use him if you actually win the game once doesn't matter which character you win the game with. Needles Kane is the name of the clown driver. It looks more like a truck with huge spikes at the front. The ultimate power may actually be the strongest, i.e. it releases three orbs of different color that traps other vehicles. Each orb has a different attack and you'll probably die.

3. Quatro

Quatro is special in the sense that it only appeared in Twisted Metal 4, and not in other versions. It's basically like a police officer that is supposed to catch Sweet Tooth. It uses a hoverbike that accelerates pretty quickly but the special move isn't that good. It only emits a radiation that damages the other vehicles nearby.

4. Moon Buggy

Moon Buggy is one of the earlier bosses of the game and only appeared in the 4th installment of Twisted Metal. It basically shoots out electrical orbs that electrocutes the other vehicles. After a certain time, it will explode and cause further damage. It has 6 wheels and a rather unique structure.

5. Meter Maid

The smallest vehicle in the game is probably the Meter Maid, but don't underestimate its small size. It may be weak in defense but the ultimate weapon is quite decent. It basically sucks the opponent's health and increase its own health.

6. Crusher

Crusher is one of the bosses, and you'll see it at the construction area map. It's like a tractor and also the first boss in the game. The ultimate attack is to grip the opponent and crush it repeatedly with its jaw-like front.

7. Drag Queen

We typically remember Drag Queen as the car with awesome flamethrowers. It's like a purple sedan car and it has mini flamethrowers on its back. It's super fast and it burns vehicles.

8. Orbital

This one's even faster than a Drag Queen. It's based on a McLaren sports car and is simply the fastest car in the game. Its ultimate power is shooting a blue orb that would suck vehicles to it. When it explodes, all of the vehicles will be frozen. The downside is, no damage is done to the vehicles. It's good as a teamwork tool where you get other vehicles to attack them while frozen.

9. Pizza Boy

This one's literally a pizza boy with a pizza signage on the top of the car. It's a vehicle with the best handling in the game but not very fast. As far as the ultimate goes, it's not that strong. That said, it shoots out 2 huge pizzas that cuts the opponent. How cool is that?

10. The Joneses

The Joneses are a family and the driving is usually done by the dad. Their vehicle is like a Ford Wagon and as its ultimate attack, they can launch 3 homing missiles at other vehicles.

These are not all of the vehicles but some of them that we remember using.

## Final Verdict
Twisted Metal is a great series of demolition derbies and they were really fun to play!
