I just never know when to mind my own business. But, as a fisher of men, I must be among them. [Cornerstone Source](https://www.popsugar.com.au/smart-living/photo-gallery/44161552/image/44161554/Melencolia-Simon-Hodgson) So, like many curious folk, I watch you tube videos. You know, conspiracy theories, documentaries, and even some puzzles. There are many bright individuals out there solving very complex puzzles, all for fun. You can follow along as people like @defango solve live action puzzles. He vlogs the steps as he moves through the puzzles. I am not so much interested in winning any kind of game, and seriously doubt I ever could, but there are references to the Bible, Literature, History, and Art in their puzzle pieces ... and, well, that intrigues me. The Holy Spirit comes in many forms and the Lord is in everything, including these virtual puzzles, so if you seek, with a prayerful heart, you can find. >Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, You know it all. [Psalm 139:4](https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/God,-Omniscience-Of) While watching @defango [vlog](https://steemit.com/cicada3301/@defango/late-nights-with-alice-defango-jan-4th-start-puzzle-2018-cicada-3301-watch-1515231693) today, I saw artwork that I had not seen in decades. Puzzle man @defango goes through many complicated steps to extract pictures hidden in data. That is all way way out of my league. However, the pictures and symbolism embedded in them, well this Literature teacher is all over that. Take a peek at some of the clues they are puzzling over. The first picture is an etching from William Blake and is entitled: [The Book of Job: When the Morning Stars Sang Together](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Blake%27s_Illustrations_of_the_Book_of_Job#/media/File:Blake_Book_of_Job_Linell_set_14.jpg) . [Image Source](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Blake%27s_Illustrations_of_the_Book_of_Job#/media/File:Blake_Book_of_Job_Linell_set_14.jpg) This was the 14th engraving published in Blake's 1826 *The Book of Job*. It represents a specific passage from [Job 38:7](https://www.artbible.info/bible/job/38.html#7): >"When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" So, in the spirit of puzzles, and with the Holy Spirit as my guide, I must ask, *when*? The verse says "...*when* the morning starts sang together ..." [ellipses added by me, not Blake, yet necessary). So, Mr. Blake, and puzzlemasters abound, when was that? The clues are in the questions asked all throughout Job. It is the voice of the Lord asking: >"Where wast thou when **I laid the foundations of the earth**? declare, if thou hast understanding." There is one clue. Here is another: >"Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?" Mmm. That's a very good question right there and certainly a clue. Who is it that measures? We are onto something... >"Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;" Who laid the cornerstone? The Lord asks these questions of Job, to remind him... >"When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" There it is. When the foundations were fastened and the cornerstone was laid, all the sons of God shouted for joy. It is interesting that Blake's engraving depicts a passage from the Bible about the laying of cornerstones, especially considering Blake studied other artists, specifically Albert Durer: >"From early in his artistic career, Blake collected the prints of Albrecht Dürer. The depiction of Behemoth in plate 15 of the engravings is believed to have been influenced by Dürer's Rhinoceros." [Source](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Blake%27s_Illustrations_of_the_Book_of_Job) I mark the interesting coincidence of cornerstones and Durer, particularly because, in their digital searching. our puzzlemaster guides also pull up a Durer print from the puzzle of image/data. When I saw this print, it nearly stopped me in my tracks. The Holy Spirit sent chills through me. I love this engraving: .jpg) [Image Source](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0c/Albrecht_D%C3%BCrer_-_Melencolia_I_-_Google_Art_Project_%28427760%29.jpg) Many see a sad angel here, hence the play on the word *melancholy* but I see a focused angel, perhaps Gabriel or Micheal, with all the equipment needed to lay foundations and measure. Look very closely to see them all, even a magic square. [Image Source](http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jD_u_8y-fxU/VGsZfDwirdI/AAAAAAAALCk/6LsbJRbcd7k/s1600/1514%2Bmagic%2Bsquare.jpg) Albrecht Durer created the 16 engravings in his [Apocalypse](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albrecht_D%C3%BCrer) series. The appearance of angels is a theme and apparent in this engraving entitled *Melencolia*. I dig some digging on the term, as it is engraved in the canvas among many other cryptic clues. Many interpretations for the word exist, many making reference to melancholy, yet most believe Durer misspelled the word on purpose [to make a point](http://www.albrechtdurerblog.com/theres-no-melancholy-in-melencolia-one-secret-of-greatest-art-fraud-in-art-history/). I came to a different conclusion in my own searching. My first search was the Bible. Searching 'melencholia' brings no results in any versions of the Bible, including Strong's Concordance. However, I did find the word 'colia' in Ezra: >"Brenton And of the Levites; Jozabad, and Samu, and Colia (he is Colitas,) and Phetheia, and Judas, and Eliezer."[Ezra 10:23](http://studybible.info/Brenton/Ezra%2010:23) Another reference to the name Colia is in the Table of Proper Names located in [The Holy Bible](https://books.google.com/books?id=4REZcj_8TqMC&pg=PP25&lpg=PP25&dq=colia+bible&source=bl&ots=P5aU4SIOgc&sig=eMBiU33qzocZC6gV6HynkRMNE2Q&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiI_6j05sTYAhWJ21MKHTc6BOUQ6AEIPTAD#v=onepage&q=colia%20bible&f=false) {Colia) Kolajah The Voice of the Lord Neh 11.7 Now, we are getting somewhere. The Bible verse referenced: >And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah. [Nehemiah 11:7](http://biblehub.com/nehemiah/11-7.htm) My next step was to then search this word "KOLAJAH" in Strong's Hebrew Lexicon. The KOLA led to [6963](http://www.eliyah.com/cgi-bin/strongs.cgi?file=hebrewlexicon&isindex=6963) qowl kole or qol {kole}; from an unused root meaning to call aloud; a voice or sound:--+ aloud, bleating, crackling, cry (+ out), fame, lightness, lowing, noise, + hold peace, (pro-)claim, proclamation, + sing, sound, + spark, thunder(-ing), voice, + yell. KOLA = Voice + Jah = Lord - Yahweh [Image Source](http://www.albrechtdurerblog.com/theres-no-melancholy-in-melencolia-one-secret-of-greatest-art-fraud-in-art-history/) The Voice of Yah. Powerful stuff. But what of the MELEN? I am reluctant to think Durer misspelled a word on purpose. [Image Source](http://www.albrechtdurerblog.com/theres-no-melancholy-in-melencolia-one-secret-of-greatest-art-fraud-in-art-history/) I found reference a translation to MELEN as "sweet", although this author came to a different meaning for COLIA, the idea of MELEN as Sweet fits both: The Sweet and Sorrowful Voice of Yahweh. [Image Source](http://www.albrechtdurerblog.com/theres-no-melancholy-in-melencolia-one-secret-of-greatest-art-fraud-in-art-history/) MELEN - Sweet + KOLAJAH - Voice of the Lord = Sweet Voice of the Lord. His voice is sweet, and through each puzzle piece solved, He speaks. Do you hear His voice? I am not a puzzlemaster and I have no idea where the clues lead, but each piece whispers the voice of our Lord. Puzzle away but be sure to listen. Blessings, Gator "The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone."
