I spent most of the day rambling around, collecting party goods for his celebration a week from today, weed-eating around the house with my new electric weedeater (My trusty weedeater on wheels finally bit it at 17 years of age, RIP Poulan Pro Boi), and cooked a more than large amount of beans, rice, and taco fixins for game night. But through it all I just felt this strange sense of surrealness. For so long my focus has been on being there and momming to the best of my ability. For that to be done is kinda beyond bittersweet and awesome! And what's the point of it all if you don't engage fully with existence anyway. I might also need reminded that I said this next Saturday.
