1- The Sphinx represents the shape of a creature with the body of a lion and the head of an Egyptian king that sits above the Giza plateau and looks eastward towards the Sinai.
2 - The statue had a long nose of 1 meter but was destroyed, and there are rumors that the nose was destroyed by the artillery of Napoleon's soldiers, and other rumors accused the British or Mamluk  of its destruction.
3- Al-Maqrizi said that the nose of the sphinx was smashed by the mystic "the fasting man" who lived next to him, considering it an "idol", after people looked at him with a reverence at the time.
4 - There are catacombs found in the body of "the sphinx" and around, and one of the most important of these basements is located in the middle of the back of the statue, almost on the opening of the basement, a "metal door" can be opened and locked, not known specifically to where this leads.
5 - When the French expedition  discovered the sphinx, a storm revealed a small part of it. When the sand was excavated and removed, they found a huge statue called Bohol, and later became "Abulhul" .
6 -  There is also a crypt in the front of the statue between the Tuthmosis plate which is called the "dream plate" and its chest, discovered by the Italian "Parzi", whose opening capacity is about 5 square feet, covered with a "iron cover", at a depth of 6 feet.
7 - Egyptian scientists believe that King «Khafra» the builder of the second pyramid in Giza, who ruled Egypt before 4500 years, is the one who built this statue and gave him his head.
8 -  Sandstorms and other factors have corroded some parts of the statue, especially the neck, some parts of the left side and feet, as well as the back of the statue.
9 - There was the royal chin and the snake on the top of the head of the "Abulhul". It was lost, and a part of the chin is currently preserved in the Egyptian Museum and another part of the British Museum.
10 -  It is 73 meters long, 6 meters wide and 20 meters high.
