First of all what is stock market???
A stock market is a place were we can buy the stock of the company and can have a watch on company
Whenever we buy the stock of a company it meaning we are the partner in that company and we will get the profit which it is making as per our share 

Wow isn't it good that with out doing anything we are getting a part in company's profit ??
This may be the question in your mind. I now but as all the coin has 2 sides it also has 2 sides. It's not just profit sharing if you buy the share of company you are it's partner in losses also.it means that it's not the way which will give you 💯 per cent profit. You may incurred a loss also

So the next question in your mind would be how they share the profits??
So I directly come to that topic the company shares its profit with stakeholders ( stockholders) in form of dividends. The dividend is calculated on per cent age
Basis the formula to calculate dividend is 

Amount of dividend = dividend % *face value * No. of share

- In India, out of 22124.14 INR billion household savings, only 2% goes as investment into equities. People in India are more inclined to invest their money in gold, banks and in real estate
