There are so many earthly benefits in serving God but in this post I will be focusing on the heavenly benefit. The first spiritual reward to serving God on earth here faithfully is eternal life. 

> "and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you." **- 1 Peter 1:4 NIV**


As a Christian or a minister it is supposed to be that you first practiced the whole truth of the gospel of which you preached. If you truly practiced what you learnt and preached which is holiness and truth, then you must be saved like every other believer that truly believes in Jesus Christ. The preacher is saved not because he is a preacher but because he believed and practiced the truth of God. <hr><hr>

> "For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward." **- 1 Corinthians 3:11-14 NIV**<hr><hr>

Be mindful of the motives behind your work for God. Don't do anything for God because you want man to reward you, look up to God. Do it because you love God not because you are expecting reward from man or you are been forced.  Our work will be tried by fire. Therefore eternal life is the first reward for the faithful. <hr><hr>

The second reward is according as your work in the Lord is. You will agree with me that some dedicate more for God than others. 

>  “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done." **- Revelation 22:12 NIV.**


According to our works. The work of evangelism. Shepherding the flocks. Giving alms to the poor secretly and according to obedience to every command of God. This will translate to crowns, mansions, and positions in heaven.
