While on holiday a few weeks ago me and the family went camping in Wales at a campsite called "Shell Island". At first I thought how can this be an island when there is a road leading up to it (whilst looking on google maps before leaving!) 

When me and my fiancée turned up at 4am it was pitch black and all we could see was a drop off each side of the road and I was very careful not to fall down in my car as this would've spelt disaster 😂

This road was built on a cause way, which depending on the tides height can and does get flooded on a regular basis. Closing off the road and all access to the island by land!

On one of the nights we were there people started getting up and walking toward the entrance to the campsite. So being as inquisitive as ever me and my fiancées brother and sisters followed to see what was going on. To our surprise the tide was coming in a began flooding the road. Further up the underwater road we could see car that have been trapped by the water and had to wait for the water to recede before getting back to camp! 

The pictures taken show the causeway starting to flood and people catching the crab, as they ran across the road. (Don't worry all the crabs were released after) 😁
