0.000 HBDSending Steem From Coinspot To My Steemit Account
**Hi All,** I had been wanting to send some "extra" Steem to my @gio6 account for a while now, but I really wasn't too confident on how to do it or what was involved. Today I took the plunge. One of the first tutorials I found when searching the Steemit blockchain was this one, by @me-tarzan, which was very useful indeed, so thank you @me-tarzan. https://steemit.com/steem-help/@me-tarzan/tutorial-beginners-how-to-send-steem-from-poloniex-to-steemit # Coinspot (Au) As I had an account with the Australian crypto exchange Coinspot, I just basically adapted the tutorial for Coinspot. I actually read a few different tutorials and then had a go sending the minimum amount of currency, which is currently set at $3 to my @gio6 wallet. The first thing I did was log in to my Coinspot account and click on wallets.... Next, was to open the Steem wallet in Coinspot, which will looks as follows... On the left hand side of your screen Coinspot will display your balance of Steem in your exchange account, and on the right hand side you are able to fill in values for **Amount**, **Steem payment address** and **Memo** under the "Send Steem" heading. And off I go..... The first time I tried to send 1 Steem to my @gio6 Steemit account I entered the number 1 under amount, I put my memo key (found under wallets >permissions in my Steemit account) and left the memo section blank. Unfortunately the Steem was never received in my @gio6 wallet, but thankfully Coinspot refunded it to my account within a few hours. The correct way to proceed is enter the amount of Steem you want to send under amount. Under "Steem payment address" select your username, in my case was @gio6. Under the memo heading copy and paste the memo key that can be found under your Steem wallet under the permissions section (4th key down). Once you have filled that in Coinspot will do their usual two factor authentication and email verification and once you have completed that Steem should hit your Steemit account in a few seconds/minutes. If a novice like me can work it out, anyone can :) For people who have just joined the community, this is one way you can "invest" in the platform aside from creating and curating content. After reading the whitepaper last night, I plan to do all three. Regards, gio6
