There are a total of 873,853 account on Steemit and growing. (A certain percentage are 'dead' accounts) I think that number is relatively low and has a lot of room to grow. There are 225 million people in the United States alone and close to 7 billion worldwide. I see a small trickle of people leaving YT and FB for this platform and I'm sure it will continue going forward.
