For this article I must comment that I am looking at cryptos as an investment, and this refers to the fact that they are operations of several years, not months, weeks or days, so you have to place this situation with a long term vision to understand the different opportunities we have, as well as the risks that exist.

There is no denying that crypto technology is something disruptive, and I could say at the same level as the creation of the Internet, but personally I think it is a softer innovation than the creation of the platform on which cryptos were born (Internet), so we can see that there can be a similar growth, replicating the different moves that Internet-based companies made in the past, but also what happened several years after the creation of the Internet.

We must start by saying that the Internet was something that started being useful for those who could afford it, and that referred to people with high purchasing power, but today we can see that the reality is different because the cost of using the Internet is basically zero compared to other expenses that we can have, so I can not leave aside the situation of Ethereum and several other Blockchain platforms today, so maybe we will see the fall of Ethereum if you do not pay attention to this similarity with what happened in the past and how the competition that made things better and cheaper took away the leadership from those who thought that only the rich would continue to use the Internet.

Currently we have approximately 3% of the world population using crypto, so it is not something so new, but we must also say that there is a lot of potential for growth, and with this growth, there is a lot of potential for the creation of new companies, because we are just knowing what can be done with this technology, for which I should mention that the DeFi and NFT are something very new compared to the beginning of cryptos with Bitcoin in 2009.

This does not mean that absolutely everything that is created on the Blockchain is going to be successful, because this is not what happened with the Internet, but those companies that really created something useful and had healthy business numbers grew, so we must continue to be very careful with the innovations that we see today and the next days, referring to avoid being "all in" in a single operation.

Today we are seeing the creation of companies that are going to lead the markets of the future, but we are also seeing investors leading the markets of the future, but this also has a downside, and that is that volatility can be a difficult thing to deal with, as well as the creation of different scams and fraudsters that make a name for themselves in the industry because there is little knowledge about it and a lot of potential for growth.

The best time to have invested in Bitcoin was 10 years ago (or a little later because in the beginning it was hard to get it), but currently we are seeing different opportunities that were not in the past and that we can take advantage of while they are still "unknown" to most of the society.

Para este artículo debo comentar que estoy viendo a las criptos como una inversion, y esto se refiere a que son operaciones de varios años, no de meses, semanas o dias, por lo que hay que colocar esta situacion con la vision a largo plazo para entender las diferentes oportunidades que tenemos, como también los riesgos que existen.

No se puede negar que la tecnologia de las criptos es algo disruptivo, y podria decir que al mismo nivel que la creacion de Internet, pero personalmente pienso que es una innovación mas suave que la creacion de la plataforma sobre la cual nacieron las criptos (Internet), por lo que podemos ver que puede existir un crecimiento parecido, replicando los diferentes movimientos que hicieron las empresas con base en Internet en el pasado, pero tambien lo que ocurrio varios años despues de la creacion de Internet.

Debemos comenzar diciendo que Internet fue algo que comenzo siendo util para quienes podian pagarlo, y que se referia a personas con alto poder adquisitivo, pero hoy en día podemos ver que la realidad es diferente debido a que el costo de usar Internet es basicamente nulo en comparación con otros gastos que podemos tener, por lo que no puedo dejar de lado la situación de Ethereum y varias otras plataformas Blockchain en la actualidad, por lo que tal vez veamos la caida de Ethereum si no le presta atencion a esta similitud con lo que ocurrio en el pasado y como la competencia que hacía las cosas mejores y más baratas le quitó el liderazgo a quienes pensaron que solo los ricos continuarian usando Internet.

Actualmente tenemos un aproximado de 3% de la poblacion mundial usando cripto, por lo que no es algo tan nuevo, pero también hay que decir que hay mucho potencial de crecimiento, y con este crecimiento, hay mucho potencial de creacion de nuevas empresas, debido a que apenas estamos conociendo lo que se puede hacer con esta tecnologia, para lo cual debo mencionar que las DeFi y los NFT son algo muy nuevo en comparación con el inicio de las criptos con Bitcoin en el 2009.

Esto no quiere decir que absolutamente todo lo que se cree en las Blockchain va a tener éxito, porque esto no fue lo que ocurrio con Internet, sino que crecieron aquellas empresas que realmente crearon algo util y tenian los numeros empresariales saludables, por lo que debemos seguir teniendo mucho cuidado con las innovaciones que veamos hoy y los proximos dias, refiriéndose a evitar estar “all in” en una sola operacion.

Hoy en dia estamos viendo la creacion de empresas que van a liderar los mercados del futuro, pero también estamos viendo a los inversores que lideran los mercados del futuro, pero esto también tiene un lado negativo, y es que la volatilidad puede ser algo dificil de llevar, como tambien la creacion de diferentes estafas y estafadores que logren un nombre en la industria porque hay poco conocimiento al respecto y mucho potencial de crecimiento.

El mejor momento para haber invertido en Bitcoin fue hace 10 años (o un poco luego porque en sus inicios era dificil conseguirlo), pero actualmente estamos viendo diferentes oportunidades que no estaban en el pasado y que podemos aprovechar mientras sigan siendo “desconocidas” para la mayor parte de la sociedad.
