Almost around this time last month was when I decided that I would not allow limitations mar my work, and that I will try to stand up more for what I believe in and get on to the field and labor. It has always be cozy being satisfied and comfortable, as human we all love our comfort zones. I took the challenge to attend Ibadan meet up, not that I was expecting anything but most importantly that was the point I had a rethink.

I saw new faces and wonderful people as well. Being a reserved person but friendly, I took the time to conclude that one of the best way to build a bond between communities is to gather together as one and share ideas.

Eventually when I was contacted by @eurogee to come speak at the Owerri mega meet-up, I was indeed touched. My Journey to Owerri was not all bad but it was a bit of stressful. I got to Owerri very late at night and was so exhausted. But still even as I rested and before sleeping off, I thought of happy faces to expect and that left a bright smile on my face.

## The meet up proper- Observations.
The meetup just as expected started off well, with their projector, sound system, and electronics good. The hall was neatly decorated and polished while audiences were in good number. The event commenced with an opening prayer lead by one of the members of @euronation.

The speakers present to come educate the newbies present were @ tojukaka who spoke on steemit and the steem blockchain; @gloglo spoke on witness education, who they are and why it is important to vote to them; @ehiboss took care of need to knows on password security; @samstickzz poured out some of his crypto knowledges; @nairadaddy reminded us on how we can bring some good things we are good and passionate about to the steem blockchain; @gee1 corrected the impression of "nice post syndrome " called spamming and how to connect well on the blockchain; while @micheal the blockchain entertainer gave the people some groove and shakes of bodies. To add to the fun, he had @gloglo, @ gee1, and @sparklez into showing there real self on the dance floor (do not worry in the video report, I guess you all will be able to choose your winner ๐Ÿ˜‚). Finally @xpency made more emphasis on tags.

I must not forget @chrisdsteemsport who brought his unique way of MCing to make the event wonderful but this only gave extra feel as some times we need a little bit of the extras . The sound guys to mention a few @theroyalboss-eu, @drigwe-eu, @dubem-eu and some others did not lag behind. All hands were on deck.

However, the steemit Owerri mega meetup was packed with amazing people and talents where showcased. Purely it was youth empowering, motivating and unique in its own way. We would not forget the play by @mimi and her crew.

## If I may add: My suggestions
Judging from these two meetups I have attended, I have realized that community building and meetings like this will serve and cover so many flaws that might mar the steem blockchain, so I commend and appereciate all efforts so far.

Here is what I might be suggesting from my observation that more people should come out and build this community, create relationship and if possible see it as a family. This is because information and ideas Can be gathered on going for meetups. I have also come to understanding better what the community really stand for and how deep her integrity is. Hence, gathering to educate each other can help maintain this intergrity. I also see it more as coming together to really understand the blockchain itself.

From the opportunity given to me to speak at this meetup Owerri, I realized that women also has a lot to contribute. So far in my experience at the meetups I have been it only graced the events. I and @gee1 spoke at Owerri meetup and although we are not to be equaled with the men, we tried to do our best. Therefore, our contribution might not be the best best for you, but we will continue to get better. It was sorry that @ogoowinner could not make it due to health issues. Hence am using this opportunity to ask that more women should come out in the field and work.

Finally; to those who are still finding it difficult in the community due to the fact that they are new or even oldies but are yet to grasp, come out for meetups. Talk to people and interact it will do you more good than harm. To those who attend put your learnings into creativity and see how it plays out. As for me, I have all thank to meetups.

## Thank you for being there: Appreciation.
