Everyone everywhere in the world is celebrating mother's day today.
I would be so selfish If i don't do same to my mother.

I can remember you telling how you tied me to the back to sell in the market, just to feed me.
I can remember when you had to become a nursery school teacher so that your salary could be taken In Place of my school fees.

I can remember you indulging in so many businesses just to cover up the nakedness of the family.
I can remember growing up to see you, sell stock fish, crayfish, water-leaf, clothes and our local leaves etc.
I can remember you climbing on the  a big truck in other to meet up sales.

I can remember you trying out producing of soda soap a soap made from caustic soda when mixed up with  the palmoil.
I can remember the wounds all over your hands when trying out all this things.

I can remember learning how to do some confectioneries, from you.
I can remember several times you stayed up hungry so that I and my siblings could eat.

I can remember every bit of things you have gone through just for us.
I can remember an Incident you were accused of a husband snatcher just because you went to beg for help.

I can remember all your beatings, scolding and every discipline you gave to I and my siblings
At first I was not happy because I never saw what the future holds. But I want to say thank you so much for the home training it is what has kept me today.

Today I join the host of angels to celebrate you.
Happy mother's day to you Eka mi (my mother)

My wish is that you stay alive to enjoy the fruit of your labour in my life and my siblings life.

I am Not blind to all your good deeds and works, but this I promise you that I will take good care of you, not just me but my siblings too.

Sorry for the pains we have ever caused you, we hope to be better children as Christ tarries to come.
