People fail to realize the impact that first impression has the moment when you meet someone, or the impact it has on their lasting impression of you. I once had a young seamstress as a friend, she is lady who is so confident in herself and what she does. The singular reason that she models her very own designs, beautifully, gives her so much patronage especially from young smart ladies. Now it's not just about how good you are. Does your appearance convince people that you are good at what you do? How well do you represent your brand? Similarly, I know a woman who does good dresses but because, she doesn't invest in her appearance, she has poor patronage. As a person, your dress sense should help communicate the overall message you want to convey to the public. Clothing can communicate your position in the company. It can communicate how much you need the other person’s business in your business situation. Your wardrobe communicates trust, wisdom, status and wealth, your dress sense is truly that powerful. Whether you are making first impressions, building relationships, or enjoying the relationships you’ve already built, your clothing is always communicating. A young man shared a story, "I was pursuing a deal with the house a top government official who was building his house, each time I drove to his office or house with my own old car, her never gave me attention. So one day I was sitting out and a friend drove in with his clean Toyota Hilux, 2010 model, I immediately used the opportunity. With his car, I drive to the site, luckily the man was there, with the hilux, he gave me attention, he excused others just go speak with me. Few days after, I was in his office do seal the deal". You don't *easily* get peoples trust and admiration when you look uncoordinated, disorganised, unkempt, unserious and poor. In cases where you don't have, try to look neat in the few clothes you have. Does your clothes communicate that you’re done and tired of working and issues of life, or are they conveying how serious you are about what you do, or that you enjoy what you do? > Your clothing sends message long before you even say a word. Branding and packaging also involves your character too, being good at what you and having a good marketing dress sense doesn't guarantee your success all the time. You should have the right state of mind, right approach to what you do and ability to relate politely to individuals at every particular point in time. This makes you stand out just being different. In whatever you do, you must acknowledge that your physical appearance, social media profile, choice of words and approaches to people and issues is very important to your business. Never neglect your appearance for any reason, be nice and warm to people and always wear a smiling face. Dress the way you want to be addressed.....
