If you haven't seen it already, I'm taking part in the competition put on by @blocktrades and @ocdwitness and hosted by @anomadsoul. If you would like to find out more information on the contest you can [check it out here](https://steemit.com/contest/@anomadsoul/contest-or-my-2020-just-a-normal-day-or-tons-of-steem-waiting-for-you) or check out the contest post that I resteemed in my blog. So my life has been anything but normal. I moved out of my apartment the first week of 2020, the second week I've spent most of the week down in Galveston, TX and the 3rd and 4th week I'm currently living with my brother. My wife and kids are staying with my parents in Houston, TX with the exception of last week where they flew back up to La Porte, IN and spent time with my wife's sister's family. I don't know why I shared that because that currently has nothing to do with my day today, so without further delay here is what I was able to accomplish.
Before Lunch

[Source](https://www.planetfitness.com/)
My mom and wife are worried I'm going to drop dead from a heart attack one day, so I've been trying to be healthier and be more active. My brother goes and works out or runs every weekday at Planet Fitness from 5:00 to 5:30 so guess who decided to start joining him while I'm living at his house?

If I do manage to get up in time and go work out with my brother, it usually takes me about an hour to drive to work. I do get to go over a pretty tall and long bridge going to and from work. This is better than having to drive cross the [I-10 bridge in Lake Charles](https://www.americanpress.com/opinion/jim-beam/what-s-latest-on-i--bridge/article_26c3a030-ca76-11e9-b2ee-bbbe282d41f8.html), however, as people claim that one is about to fall down in the next few years. I'll have to drive across that one every day once my house is completed.
[Source](https://deltamoxie.com/2013/07/01/bridge-anxiety/)
I work for Sasol which is just about to wrap up a huge project that the company spent billions of dollars on. Unfortunately, they are behind schedule and over budget, as most projects go, so I'm trying to figure out what if anything I can do to help them get the rest of the units started up safely and quickly. Below are some cool YouTube videos showing a little about where I live and work.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oe7brA-1kZ4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJtZm0Lsf2w
Unfortunately [this happened recently](https://www.iol.co.za/business-report/companies/sasol-assessing-the-damage-caused-by-explosion-at-lake-charles-chemical-project-40991380) which was pretty interesting to have happened. I spend most of my day currently sitting in my office staring, thinking, or doing calculations on these. Bolted flanges are important because they are how you connect piping together and at the same time manage to keep the fluid inside (or at least that is the goal). If you're not aware the part that is considered the "flange" is the thick metal piece that you see the bolts going through and the nuts on the outside of. They come in all sorts of sized and different ratings for different pressures (the thicker the flange the higher the pressure), and will have a gasket between the two flanges to seal off the liquid from escaping.
[Source](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flange#/media/File:Flanschverbindung_Gasleitung.jpg)
This is the way work feels most of the time (I'm Dilbert in this case)
[Source](https://dilbert.com/search_results?terms=Dilbert)

Lunch to Dinner
So we have this awesome bar, which is actually a restaurant type place during the day and sells the best Po Boys that I have ever had. If you are in Lake Charles you need to stop by Darrell's and order the Darrell's Special. That' what I had for lunch today and no matter how many times I have one it's always better than the last.

Going back to work is usually just more flange calculations, meeting preparation and just trying to stay focused while I work on these current projects. I will have to admit I usually get up at this point and go talk to a few people as my eyes start to go cross-eyed from staring at the computer for too long. I normally get off around 3 - 4 o'clock, but since I'm away from my family and my brother usually works until about 7 or 8 I've been staying later and working till at least 7 or 8 which means I've been getting home around 8 or 9 (ended up getting home at 6 today because I couldn't focus anymore and decided I needed a break).
[Source](https://pixabay.com/images/id-2069021/)
My wife sent me packing with some leftover lasagna, so I'll be able to mack down on that tonight with some yummy siracha as well to put on top and a chicken salad with some yummy ranch dressing.
After Dinner
This usually is my after-dinner dessert, minus the ketchup which also should be the spicy ketchup, and the ice cream which should be homemade vanilla. This might be the reason I will one day have a heart attack, but nothing is better with dinner on a hot summer day than an Ice Cold Shiner Bock, that is washed down with some Dr. Pepper and Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream after your food has had some time to digest.

I'm guessing the rest of the night I will either be working on some "work stuff", watching some Monday Night LCS, and then getting on Overwatch with my brothers and their wives at 9:30 until about 11 or 11:30 since one of my brothers just moved to Washington and they are 2 hours behind us.

TLDR
This is me first thing in the morning.

This is me too and from work.

Me at work

Me after work while I'm living at my brothers on Monday nights
