Calvary greetings to you. Today lets reflect from the book of Joel 1:5-7

**WORD FOR TODAY:**
*A nation has invaded my land, a mighty army without number v 6(NIV)*

The Prophet cries out in v5 wake-up drunkards and weep. Probably they were sleeping from the after effect of liquor, hence the wakeup call. 

They were not aware that their territory has been invaded and that new wine has been snatched away from them. 

In v.6 the nature of their enemy is described as follows:
°A mighty army
°Numerous and countless
°It has the teeth of a lion 
°The fangs of a lioness

Many a times the children of God fall into deep slumber and complacency when there is danger in the land. Many Christians are living reckless lives, they have become insensitive to the attack of the enemy against them and the territory given to them by God to occupy. 

*In v7*
The bible says it has laid waste MY vines
The Lord God owns everything we have in this life, land and vine, fig-trees and all. 

On many occasions, the enemy destroys and invades all that is given to us because we were in deep slumber. It is time for us to be awake and defend the territory given to us by our father. If we do not the enemy will take charge of it.

**PRAYER:**
*Lord, give me the grace and power to be awake and defend the land which you have given me.*
