 On Wednesday morning I was up at 4AM. I had left the cleaning up of the second floor after doing windows to the last minute. My brother would be back from vacation by mid afternoon. I had to re-wash one window in his room because it was so poorly done. It was annoying me a lot. So I started with that, got the bed cleaned off and the windows out. As soon as it was light, I got all 4 windows washed and back in place. Then I cleaned up my mess, repaired the lamp that had fallen off the wall, reset his clock and the room was ready to be vacuumed.  I moved into the old office and put that back together. Then on to the bathroom. It has the smallest windows so they aren’t hard. I spent most of the time in there taking off the dead on the fern.  Once I had some of the mess cleaned up in the bathroom, I moved onto the spare bedroom. I finished up in there around 11AM. My Wednesday helper had arrived after 8AM and we’d cut open the squash that had sat on the counter for 10 days. It had gone bad. Sigh… But I had found a smaller one in the pantry so I had her cut that one up along with all the vegetables for roasted vegetables. We finished them off just when she had to go, so I got to stir them every 10 minutes for ¾ of an hour. She had enough time to run the vacuum on the second floor and then that floor was done. I was really tired when the vegs finished and ended up dozing in my chair for most of the afternoon.  The contractor arrived about 2:30PM and got the columns’ trim on. There’s the top panel left and then the fascia and soffets to run.  My son collected more of the kindling. There’s still a good amount out there.  My general helper arrived at 4:45PM and we went to do shopping. When we got back, she gave the fairy a bath so she can be moved to her winter spot. My brother had arrived home just as we were leaving for shopping and he was asleep after a 30 hour trip home, when we got back ay 6PM. I went to bed early after getting the fires going. It’s to be 30’sF and raining until Friday. No plans for Thursday as my helper friend is not back to work yet. I don’t think my Wednesday helper had extra time to cover his shift. I’ll just hear about my brother’s trip and start a crockpot full of chicken.
