Hi everyone! This is going to be my first post about one of my favorite hobbies, scale modelling! For those new to this, it's basically assembling pieces of plastic(thousands of pieces rather) into something of form like the photo below. You then paint it, stick some decals(stickers) and make it look realistic, basically if it doesn't look like plastic then you've already made it! Took a photo of this lovely beast one saturday morning using only tarpaulin and with the help of a bit of flash. Without further ado behold! The famous F14A TOMCAT VF-154 "BLACK KNIGHTS" in 1/72 scale. Apologies for the dirt smudges at the corner... The tarpaulin wasn't exactly as clean as i would've wanted. Now with a lower angle, you'd see that i wish i had a bigger tarpaulin for this shoot. This plane is huge! even for a 72 scale, it barely fits! This plane is based from the Aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk, the last of it's kind to be Oil powered(the newer ones are running on nuclear now) And here's the payload... In Operation Iraqi Freedom. This beast dropped over 300 tons of ordinance and flew 300 different missions or sorties. so how do you guys like it? tried not to sound so geeky and not much into the details as you guys can probably wiki it out :) I have lots more so follow me for updates! :)
