#### *Heelloo stemians,,, this is my style in shooting macro photography* ******** *Macro photography is a style in photography that emphasizes small details to be photographed. This photography is based on a special type of lens called a macro lens or close-up lens, which allows you to focus on objects closer than you can normally. You can be close enough so that your object really fills your photo frame. Some of the most popular photo objects for macro lovers include flowers, leaves, insects, and other everyday objects that we don't usually see close-up.* ***** **** **** The following are tips on macro shooting: 1. Use a tripod *Although now there is a macro lens that has built-in Image Stabilization (IS) or Vibration Reduction (VR), but if you are serious about macro photography, then you have to be serious about how sharp your image should be. That means you really need a tripod seriously. This type of photography is a mandatory tripod zone. So, a tripod is the only absolute thing that you must do when shooting a macro.* 2. Maximize sharp space (DoF) *Macro lenses have a "sweet spot" where you can really get the sharpest results. And in macro photography, having sharp images is very important. One trick to get high sharpness from a macro lens is to shoot with the lens aiming perfectly straight forward, towards the object (in other words, do not tilt your lens up or down, try photographing really straight in order to get sharpness and clarity best).* 3. Why do you have to disable autofocus *You have learned that one of the big challenges of macro photography is to make the subject sharp and focused. Well, you will face one of the most frustrating things when aiming at a subject that is very close in taking macro shots, that is, using autofocus. Tips to reduce your frustration is to deactivate your camera lens autofocus and use manual focus only. Why do you have to disable autofocus when this feature is truly accurate today. That's right, as long as you don't take a macro. What will happen is, your camera will try to find a focal point.* ******
