Another shocking (-ly bad) breakfast in Krabi
I just don't understand what is so difficult about making a breakfast, even if it isn't your country's culture. I mean, there is no seasoning, no complicated preparation, no real culinary science at all that goes into this. Yet nearly every place gets it dead wrong. I am on a mission, before I depart this area in around a month, to find a breakfast that doesn't absolutely suck. I failed once again today - this might be the worst one yet.

This is supposed to be an English Breakfast, which is famous around the world. See all those containment units for the various side items? They aren't supposed to be there and is a clear identifier that all of them were microwaved. An English Breakfast is all slopped on one plate - this information is not difficult to find.

I am yet to find a place that will serve this. At the place I owned years ago we made them like the second picture and we sold a LOT of them based solely upon the fact that everyone else was doing them completely wrong.

I was really hungry and complaining (which i never do here unless served a flat beer) is a exercise in futility anyway in Thailand. Therefore, I ate almost all of it and even drank the disgusting instant coffee it was served with (I would prefer to not receive coffee than to get that.)

I didn't understand the addition of the onions, which ruined the flavor of the mushrooms anyway, nor the sliced tomatoes which were not just obviously microwaved but are also the tomatoes they use for sandwiches throughout the day (not that i have a problem with prep-work, it is just another exhibit of how i don't think they are even trying here.)

There is however, one part of any breakfast served in Thailand that I will not take part in.

Hot dogs, especially the chicken ones, are **not sausages!** Again this is another example of how the meal actually would have been better if they hadn't included it at all. I am not going to name the place that this was made at because all the Thai food they make here is really good - they just don't have a clue how to make their breakfasts. Also - the poor presentation is not a question of unavailability of ingredients - i know for a fact that it IS possible to get everything involved because of my experience owning a restaurant here at one point.

In the end it was extremely disappointing and I even started to feel a little bit nauseous at times. At least I got to meet this guy in the process.
