Nate Diaz is just awesome
I've always loved Nate DIaz from the very first time I started to know about him.

I base a lot of this on the fact that I never really much cared for Conor McGregor, once he started talking.

So today Nate Diaz faced Anthony Pettis and most people, including the Vegas betting lines, didn't give him much of a shot.

I'll admit, I didn't even know that he was fighting today. I woke up late and rushed out the door to find that the fight was just starting at the bar that I watch these things at. I had NO IDEA that Nate Diaz was fighting today.

I arrived about an hour late only to see that the Nate Diaz vs Anthony Pettis match was about to begin.... perfect timing really. This was an absolutely fantastic match.

I started to like Nate Diaz because he called out Connor McGregor. Even thought most people really liked Conor, i did not.

I've always felt like UFC didn't really give this guy the attention he deserved. I have no idea why that is but i would imagine that it has / had a lot to do with the politics of getting along with Dana White and other executives at the helm of UFC. Today's fight was something that I didn't even know was happening, but wow, what a winner it was.

I started watching this match hoping that Diaz would just perform well enough to stay in the game but not only did he do that but he all but completely dominated the match. Pettis, who is no slouch, and I have no beef with, was completely outclassed by Diaz on every front.

In the post-fight interview Diaz gave an electric statement, calling out his next (hopeful) opponent, and I am extremely excited to see him fight again. Hopefully soon. Dude hasn't fought is 3 years and just looked unstoppable tonight.
