##   Little Dragon  - *Ritual Union*

## The last few days I've shared
some classic bands/artists, so I figured today it'd be good to go with something contemporary.  **Little Dragon** are an electronic/neo-soul band from Gothenburg, Sweden, comprised of Yukimi Nagano (vocals, percussion), Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrik Wallin (bass) and Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards) ([Source - *Wikipedia*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Dragon)).  They were formed in 1996 while the members were still in High School.  I first discovered them in 2011 after the release of their third album, and became hooked.  They've since released a number of albums, and have a brand new single available.

## This song is the title track from the
aformentioned 2011 release, ***Ritual Union***.  I really love the simplicity of the song.  There isn't ever too much going on; the drums and bass provide the basic groove of the tune, with Nagano's vocals over the top. The occasional synth/keyboard sound comes in to add some variation in texture, but without ever feeling like the center of the song.  Nagano's vocal timbre is beautiful, and definitely creates a very soulful vibe.  If you like the song, I highly recommend checking out the whole album (and their discography); you won't be disappointed.
