## This came together last night, and is definitely a bit of a silly/kooky little song. However, I really do like the bass line, and will probably take that and move into something a little more "serious". The staccato synth stuff here just has a bit of cheesiness to it, which is fine, but doesn't really do justice to the bass part. But, anyway, since this is the song's current form, let's go through it! ######
[Listen to *Beep Beep Bloop* here.](https://soundcloud.com/grapthar4/beep-beep-bloop)
## Track 1 is where I began, in D minor, playing D minor, F major, C major, back to D minor. Everything else is based around these chords, playing 3rds, 5ths and octaves to harmonize with this. However, when we reach the darker blue/purple part in Track 1, we modulate into D major/B minor, starting with an F#7 or Bbdim, then B min, A maj to D maj. I liked the modulation, but I feel like Tracks 5-7 could harmonize a bit differently and make the transition flow better. ######
Tracks 2 and 3, the bass, described below.
## As pictured above, the bass guitar in Track 2 and the bass synth in Track 3 follow the roots of the chords. However, the little 1/16th note fills came out pretty cool, and the combination of this synth with the bass guitar had a great sound. Again, I will probably take the ideas from this bass line, expand on them, and build a new song off it. ######
[Listen to *Beep Beep Bloop* here.](https://soundcloud.com/grapthar4/beep-beep-bloop)
## Track 4 is our drums, which build up into a full beat throughout the first 16 bars. However, the snares are interesting in that they come in a 1/16th beat late (after the 2 of each measure), which follows the rhythm of Track 1. Makes the typical 4/4 beat sound way more interesting, and gives it a cool drive. ######
Track 5, described below.
## Track 5 harmonizes with Track 1 using some staccato notes, and a bit of a delay. Tracks 6 and 7 mirror this progression, but instead of this happening at the beginning of each measure, it happens at the end, filling things out a bit more and making the melody feel like it sort of bounces off into the distance. Tracks 8, 9 and 10 are just weird sounds used for transitions. Not sure if I love them, but they worked as a temporary hold for something in the future. ## That's it for this one, hope you have enjoyed the walkthrough!
