## I wanted to have some guitar jams
last night, since I'm trapped in-doors, so I decided to write this little 2 chord vamp in Ableton, and play on top of it. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to connect my guitar to my new laptop yet, need to get some USB2/USB3 converters so I can start adding some real instruments onto these tunes. This little progression came from an Adam Neely Q&A video I was watching yesterday, were he had a question about why 'Fm9 and Db7b5 sound so good', so I decided to pop those two chords on, and build a little string progression on top towards the end.

## When it is just the double bass,
I really like the strings, but I think the stuff I added on top (particularly Track 3, the staccato string ensemble) doesn't really work, and changes the vibe of the tune a bit too much. The bass is pretty simple, but uses the natural 6, instead of the b6, which adds a dorian sound that the piano part doesn't really hint at, which turned out to be pretty cool. The piano in Track 1 plays the two chords, back and forth, but with a few variations; I added some little octave accents on certain sections, and altered the chord inversions at other times, just to add a bit more interest. Feel free to use this as a jam track too, though you may want to just chop off the beginning, before the strings come in. I'm definitely going to get rid of the string parts I don't like tonight, and maybe try and build a more complete song around it, so stay tuned!
